What about flying coast lines please? We are an island, therefore have stunning coastlines. Obviously taking care at certain breeding times as far as birds & wildlife go.
I've seen something unusual from my house in East London and I'm assuming its just a drone but I'd like help identifying what type.
On 8th Nov at 11pm, someone was having a fireworks party about 1Km from my home in suburban Ilford. So I looked out of the window.
As the fireworks finished and the smoke cleared I noticed a very bright and solid green light remaining and not moving. After about a minute, it travelled across the sky about 2Kms further east and stopped dead at a location I would say was above a local park. Then the green light blinked quite slowly (I'd say at about 2Hz) and it remained in place for quite a few minutes. There were no other navigation lights visible. Finally it shot off again at high speed in an arc towards central London west of me and disappeared.
I own a DJI Mini 2 and this certainly moved much faster than that can do. Also the very bright green light seemed unusual.
Would this likely be a Police or Military drone or a hobbyist not obeying regulations very well?

People need to consider that if its a foreign adversary, its probably not going to need a pilot in the vicinity in order to control it (satelite links etc). But they would require a ground crew to launch it. Was just watching an ex special forces guy being interviewed on an American news burst: its easy to disable – you scan for frequencies being used and simply use jamming tech to prevent signals being exchanged to control it. I'd be more concerned with finding the ground crew. They're not flying here all the way from China or Russia. Someone is introducing them into the area locally.
