I read a review today, and one of the complaints was that the full move set isn't unlocked until near the end of the story and that the best way to play is to focus on the story first and do all of the exploration stuff at the end. It's not exactly a great way to structure a game, but at least there's something there that's worth the effort.

The realistic look is good that it makes it look boring game
The Thing is.. they could've worked on Projects people were asking for. Mainly the Second Season of FFXV DLC: Episode Aranea, Episode Lunafreya and Episode Noctis but Noo let's play as Criminal Teen (or Tween?) Thief who literally doesn't give a fuck about the magical world she got transported into and that for the entire game.. we could've had a complete experience of FFXV instead of this.

Something really needs to be done with square enix in these garbage PC ports, you would think their would be some forum of law suit, I really think releasing games in this state should be illegal because FF7 remake a year later is still in a terrible state on PC and they didn't even bother trying to fix it despite the fact that the game is 70$ on steam. All Square cares about is money at the end of the day.

I'm giving this game time. I think a lot of the bashing I 'm seeing is very surface and very much coming from people who would never play this kind of game anyways. Review bombing on launch is a problem now and specifically for open world games. In a month we will have real reviews from real gamers and that will tell me what this game is really like.

The market has shown time and again that people want JRPGs from Square, and they can still make unique JRPGs people love. We don't want superhero games, or modern Westernized open world games, or NFTs from them. Games like this always 'underperform' for them, and games like Bravely Default often overperform. They just don't seem to learn.
