‘Moana 2’ Streaming on Disney Plus: Release Date and Time

Originally planned as a TV series, Moana 2 follows its Polynesian heroine on a new adventure three years after the first film. Auli’i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson reprise their voice roles as the titular chief’s daughter and the demigod Maui, who reunite after Moana gets “an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors,” according to a synopsis from Disney.

Moana 2 premiered in theaters in November and has one midcredits scene. Separately, a live-action remake of the first film, starring Johnson and newcomer Catherine Laga’aia, has a 2026 release date. When to watch Moana 2 on Disney Plus

Viewers in the US can watch the animated movie as early as 12:01 a.m. PT on Wednesday, March 12, according to Disney.
