My only gripe with the game was that it could have been even better if it wasnt so liniar, still great in my opinion but i was wanting more with that classic survival horror exploration
I actually got an email invite to a survey by striking distance studios regarding this game and a spin off title, i thought "well what the hell? might as well say something" by suggesting they not abandon the core concept at least expand on the melee and gun combat especially for riot mode, i had a laundry list of crazy stuff like breakable weapons, using the baton to set baddies on fire and lob them in to crowds, dodging in to redirected throws to push biophages in to environmental hazards.
I’m playing this for the very first time now on PS5 and am absolutely loving this game and having a blast. The graphics are amazing. I feel like I’m playing a movie.
The game is very good movie experience! I think the critics were harsh, but in a nutshell would say hi production value but the price should have been at 60 launch!

I played the game after the hype was murdered and my first thought was, "the game isn't that bad." Expectations were the only thing that killed it.
I think a stamina meter would've been a neat feat. Imagine in the middle of the combat, you pop a monster energy drink and go doom slayer on enemies.

I really liked what I saw from the trailer in 2020. I didn't have a next gen console when it was released and by the time I did I saw the terrible reviews. I got the game for free on PS Plus and for maybe the first 2 hours I couldn't believe the bad reception. Seemed such an interesting location, voice acting, graphics and mystery. Then I started to understand the bad and mixed reviews a little more, then even more and then I was relieved I didn't buy it full price. The game is largely predictable, the predictable parts have annoyed me A LOT and just lazy writing lacking originality. It's a decent game but that's not good enough. Disappointing considering the original Dead Space creator behind this. I'm getting to the stage I want it to end, I must be around 2/3 of the way through.
I love this game. If you do as well, I've made story driven photo compilations for each chapter of the game, with the terrifying music and all the montage.
This game outgrew the passion I had for Dead Space since 2008. Now I'm just broken inside cuz people tarnished this game so bad I won't see anymore colors of it. 😢

I got it for free on psn and am quite enjoying it so far, i remember hearing it wasnt good but sometimes i like a short story focused experience i can enjoy and not have to put too much thought into.

I really like what I'm playing through. I enjoy the setting, the atmosphere and the combat. I especially love the melee combat and hardly use the guns. As a massive Dead Space fan, the game felt more like a cross between Doom 3 and Outlast. The game has a grit to it. It's like the game version of something like Event Horizon or even The Thing. Both films were panned on release but now have a cult following and I feel the same will happen for Callisto Protocol.
This game reminds me of an old ps2 game called THE SUFFERING
It's really unfortunate that it turned out this way. On its own, it's actually a solid fun game, and I was very interested in where this could've led.

So the fact that people think jacob will come back with robot limbs is a little silly to me im just gonna point out the way we can see jacob again in a sequel is through the fact that dani has the data transmited through jacob in last transmission we could see his memories and thoughts through danis rig or whatever it is attatched to her spine that would be the more realistic way that he could come back maybe possibly his parts of his consciousness guiding her through just saying it would make more sense the whole facility was crumbling half of his face was peeled off not to mention arms and legs missing he want gonna survive
I got the game not long after release like a month after and it hard crashed 10 times on my Series X. Finished it but it was a mid game for me
This game is still extremely janky (on PC at least.) No matter what settings I change it's kinda blurry which also makes text almost impossible to read. Every time I get into a combat situation the stutters start happening constantly which makes dodging, or anything really, pretty difficult. Everything with light reflecting off of it is so over the top sparkly it just looks weird. I got the deluxe version for $27 and even at such a large discount I wish I had the option to get a refund. Seems like it would be a cool game if it wasn't so poorly optimized.

I finished the game today and for me it's kinda just another shallow survival horror game that only really succeeds in establishing its atmosphere, I mean that's a given since the original creative team behind Dead Space was responsible for it, then again it kinda just makes me wanna go back and play Dead Space again.
Game was actually fun, i love crawling thru vents and pipes, really feels like a journey thru hell. Combat feels satisfying and brutal, people who said the melee system sucks, yea well because they sucked.

This game might've not been the Dead Space stand in people wanted but I would still rather play this game overall many survival horror game like Dino Crisis 1, Alone in the Dark the New Nightmare, Extermination, Silent Hill 4 and Resident Evil 0.
Callisto Protocol can be pretty fun and the ideas it has are pretty cool.

I think the reason why this game was a disappointment to some was it had big shoes to fill. this was supposed to be an appetizer before the main course of the Dead Space remake. i do agree big time that sometimes a shorter game like this needs be praised for it's brevity. but i still got the platinum for the OG dead space which is still completely playable and this game like a minute apart on 2 TV's. I'm gonna go through this game for like a 5th time this Halloween cause you decided to make these vids. good stuff man…..😆😆
