The Shih Tzu do need grooming. Non shedding dog and If you don’t brush them and wash them enough they stink. They get Skin fungus and smell horrible. And also hairy ears that need to bee cleaned / pulled out.
the beagle is not easy😂
I love love love miniature schnauzers and think they are a joy to own and train. I also like their closely related standard schnauzers who are even easier to train but require a lot more exercise and mental stimulation
very informative. Thanks
Hola from Los Alcazares, Murcia, Espana 😂, but I am South Dublin, Ireland. I MUST ADMIT THE JACK RUSSELL, I HAVE TWO, BROTHER AND SISTER AND THEY WILL BE 17 YEARS ON 7 JANUARY 2025. They are magical creatures, extremely intelligent and so loyal and loveable. Unfortunately we got a third Jack , rescue, Tommy but poor Tommy passed away last Christmas in Spain. It was shattering, particularly for my husband, I never saw a man cry as much. I encouraged him to get another dog, presuming a Jack, No we got 2 PEMBROKE CORGIES 😂😅😊, TWO BROTHERS, TWO BOLD BOYS NAMED FOXIE AND DUCHIE. THEY ARE MAGICAL CREATURES, SO PLACID. SO NOW HAVE 4 DOGS, 2 JACK HITTING 17 YRS AND 2 CORGIES JUST GONE 9 MONTHS. ALL GET ALONG WELL, BUT WHO CONTROLS, THE JACK'S OF COURSE AND TEACHES THEM GOOD MANNERS.

Right off the bat, this channel lost any and all credibility by saying a GSD is one of the easiest breeds to own. I love GSDs but they are a handful even for the most experienced and devoted owners
I have had both dogs and cats. I prefer rescue dogs and cats. Seems like when an animal has been through some difficult times and then gets a forever home they fully appreciate their new life. BFF.
Got to be the worst list ever. Every dog you’re explaining how much hard work they are.
And a German Shepherd? Absolutely no idea.
First off, I love dogs. Our family love dogs and we are never without one. Just a few months ago, we had 4 different breeds – a Belgian Malinois, a Beagle, a Shih Tzu, and a Dachshund. The last 2 died a few months apart and we are now left with just 2. But before that, we had a toy Poodle, a mini Schnauzer, a Japanese Spitz, and so many more. German Shepherds are fantastic dogs, very intelligent and strong personality. But I wouldn't say they are one of the easiest dog breeds. The description given of a Shih Tzu, I just smiled. They are royalties. Only the Emperor and Empress of China could own them then. Beagles? Don't let Snoopy's laidback personality fool you. Hahaha. They are all lovable dogs, that's for sure. But not exactly the easiest dog breeds. Peace.
Who are these idiots? Talk about being misinformed!
We have a Shih Tzu – Maltese mix. We love that Dog just like he was our own child. If something ever happened to Teddy I don't think I could handle it.
On your list, only the basset hound is easy to own. All of the others are very active and most require a lot of coat maintenance, brushing to reduce shedding and matting, and for the non shedding breeds, a visit to the groomers every 6-8 weeks. Basset hounds have short hair, so they don't shed and mat as much as other breeds. Because they are somewhat lazy, you don't have to be an Olympic athlete to keep up with them. Moderate exercise and a little care in the amount and kind of food they are given should keep them from turning into a blimp. Although they are chunky, they are between small and medium in size, so they are easier to handle weight-wise than a mid-size or larger dog. They also have a reputation for being very friendly. The one real downside is that they are a hound breed, so they will howl and yodel loudly–a lot. Because of this noise issue, they aren't a good fit for city life or the types of suburbs where houses are closer together, as the noise may disturb some of the neighbors. I like all of the dogs on the list, but I apparently know a lot more about dogs than the person who compiled this list. In this list, I like German shepherds the best, followed by Labrador retrievers. But the GS is an extremely high-maintenance animal, and labs aren't too far behind. Both breeds are very intelligent and high energy, so they need training, lots of exercise, and stuff to do to keep them from getting bored. A bored dog is a dog that is looking for mischief to get into, so find ways to keep them safely occupied. The GS also sheds a lot. If I were young and healthy again, I would be happy with a dog of either of these two breeds, and actually did have a lab way back then. As a child, I was also friends with the across-the-street neighbor's GS. The family also had a boy my age, but we weren't friends.😂 The family next-door had a daughter my age. Again, we weren't friends, but I was friends with their mutt.😂 Two houses up the street, the family had 2 boys around my younger brother's age and a goofy standard poodle. My YB was friends with their boys, and I was friends with their dog.😂 To be honest, all of my friends when I was growing up had fur, and most were dogs.😂 Unfortunately, I am old now, and due to health issues, I can no longer handle taking care of a pet. On this list, the only dog that I could come close to handling now is the bassett hound, except I am somewhat sensitive to noise, so that disqualifies them for me. It's a shame because I really like them. I do think that where noise isn't a major issue, a bassett hound would make a good companion.😊
👎 For encouraging inexperienced owners to get German Shepherds. They are not amongst the easiest breeds. Great dogs, but you have to know what you're doing and what you are getting yourself in for.
The best tip i cana give any new dog owner is this. Socialise your dog in the early days to other dogs and people especially your neighbours
I had a german shepherd dumped on me. I grew fond and loved him dearly but i realised he didnt act like he should for a "trained" dog. He didnt like any other animals, hated brooms, umbrellas etc and would get extremly upset if one was near him barking and going to bite rarely but still. He was coming into his 2s which was even harder as i was told dogs basically go through a second "puppy stage" and becomes like a angry toddler. I suffered with social anxity and just genuinely going out due to bad happenings in my life and at firat he helped alot being like my little protector. But when he started barking and jumping for anyone coming my way that looked either like a dog (for example a small child)or threatening (like a larger man) i think ould be confronted and it made it hard again to go out. I loved him so so much but it became harder and harder. I have worked with animals and even worked at a doggy daycare helping train dogs to be obedient and to socialise with other dogs but it seemed almost impossible with my beloved tank but i was determind to help my poor baby boy. A year past and my live in landlord decided to move and not tell me till people were coming to see the house (i rented a room) i ended up having to stay with my partners mother but she wasnt a fan of the large reactive dog no matter how sweet he was to her or the family she was worried about the neighbours etc (understandable). I made the hardest decision and had to give up my boy so he could have the amazing life i dreamed for him. I love and miss him everyday but i know hes happy and healthy which helps with the loss.
Im not dog person, nut even I can say that german shepherd as first dog is terrible choice. Unless you pick very specific bred line. And still they need experienced owner. This channel is just SPITTING LIES
NONE of the guard dogs is fitting for first timer unless you wanna keep em them in penned area as u know, guard
I also have very negative memory of labrator retriever as kid. No, the dog didnt bite me but tried to mount me
But watching further NONE of this list is true and is just ….whatever no one will read my comment anyway, but this channel has clear bot behavior
Half of these are bs 😂😂 a lot of them require a lot of maintenance when it comes to grooming and a lot more exercise than is stated
0:36 wtf you bastards
Kinda disagree with this video. But still good points.
Another extremely easy dog for a first time dog owner is a border collie. They're very low energy and legendary for their stupidity. Just leave them alone all day in your living room and things should go well. Also on that list is the Dogo Argentino and the Wolverine.
Golden Retriever missing!
Do not get a dog simply by their breed‼️All dogs have their own personalities and temperments ‼️Choose a dog who is CALM and CURIOUS ‼️You will be miles ahead in training‼️The 2 main problems that cause bad behavior are…#1 Not enough exercise!!! #2 Poor communication ‼️Listen to HOW you talk to your dog. If you want a calm dog…be a calm confident dog owner‼️
I had a lab and they are very sweet and caring! But not easy to take care of they are large and SHED A LOT. They require A LOT of attention and hate being alone but they are definitely very sweet dogs they are also very funny dogs with a lot of energy ! But if you get one make sure to keep these requirements in mind because we don’t want any dog to be sad or feel not wanted. And they almost never bite my never did! The sweetie always moved his head,
i have always had dachshunds, both standard smooth and miniture wire haired, they are very intelligent and loyal. and come in 2 sizes, standard and minitaure and both sizes have 3 coat types, smooth, long hair and wirehaired,
I m surprised how golden retriever didnt make it to the list
