Yes you can, although im not sure if u can go freestyle and go aiming and killing people from distance with it but u sure can use it in combos

I thought it was cool how you had to figure out the secrets of the modern era in that tiny room, if you work out every secret you felt truly accomplished at the end. But i get you wanting more Desmond action scenes. Can't wait to see how they wond nerf his gameplay sequences with automatic guns.

Am i the only person who thinks desmond is boring? I cant stand the parts with him in it, the historical aspect is the best by far, im dreading a finale thats all about desmond and modern, would be very disappointed 🙁

I saw an IGN video (I think it was) and they did say you would be playing as Desmond much more than the other games in the franchise. Looking forward to this game :).
Umm.. it's more air assassination options, and it's more realistic. Little things like that make a game.
A multiplayer gamemode in the present times. Also coop. Those 2 things and it's an instant buy for me.

there are some things they shouldn't change in AC. One is the way the Assassin walks. Altair and Ezio and Desmond in fact, all walk the same with a "hard nut" look. Connor should have this also. Also, the classic jump assassination shouldn't be changed.
Other than that, I really want to see what they'll do to it!

@autumnsylver well, to be fair, they could see him, they just thought he was a praying monk because of the robes. Although I never understood how they could think he's a monk when he's armed to the teeth…
I do hope that they make the times when you play as desmond longer than they have been in AC1 all you did was sleep and get in the animus, In AC2 he is played slightly longer but no real major role apart from the fight at the end which to me isnt that hard to do,In brotherhood however it was slightly better with the email and other stuff you can do in the villa, in revelations you are traped in the animus untill the very end. It would be nice to see ALOT more desmond action.

LOL. I always thought that was kind of dumb that Altair puts his hands together, his head down, and walks really slowly, and nobody can see him, even in plain sight. It makes a lot more sense to be able to blend in with a crowd so enemies can't see you.
I know right like in the other games I wanted to get over with the Desmond parts of the gameplay and go right to ezio but now I know that Desmond really plays a big role in assassins creed and I am very excited to finally have something ore frequent even though I thought ezio was a beast so I have high hopes for this game. The one ironic thing is that we are studying the American Revolution and I always think of how the game is going to be.
Im really excited, that they will actually make Desmond something more than like 5 parkour levels. In my opinion, Ezio completely outshone Desmond in the previous games.
Which is a shame, cause Desmond definitely has potential
Although the landscape is different, including natural wilderness, I really hope they give the handling and gameplay a different feel, all the last games just felt like the same game over and over, 4 times, imo. I feel they really need to change it at this stage. Here's hoping they do
