I really like the game but as you said, the game doesnt really tell you much, like even in the training it doesnt actually tell you how to perform a timed strike, it basically just tells you to do it.

This is a pretty fun game and it does have quite a lot of problems but I think the main reason why big name reviewers hate the game so much is because they had to review it, thus they were forced to complete the game in a short amount of time…. You put it perfectly when you said it’s a good game to pass the time for better games that are yet to release. This is a good title for casual gamers.
Don't compare cyberpunk and gotham knights. Cyberpunk was crap, but now it's currently in my top 5 games ever. Gotham knights is good, but nothing great, and yeah the graphics are pretty bad for what it requires
Gotham knights is awesome, the game play and story are brilliant, but that 30fps on console is shameful , absolutely no excuse for a game to run at 30 FPS on a PlayStation five
People have gone way overboard on their criticisms of Gotham Knights. It's not perfect… but it's a lot of fun and looks great.

It really is a good game, I think that a lot of these creators were rushing through it in order to get their reviews out as quickly as possible. If I played the game in that way, I would probably hate it as well because it would feel super grindy but I since actually enjoy PLAYING the game, I love it.
The bar set by Rock steady is pretty high. But that doesn't mean we can't enjoy a cool Batman game that's fun to play. And if it's fun to play it doesn't matter how it looks.
They could’ve made it better to unlock the colors of the outfits, and maybe gave them a dedicated jump button 🤔

To be fair. You didn’t compare the side missions correctly. You compared GKs full side missions to Spider-Man’s crimes in the open world. Those wasn’t the side missions, the actual side missions were like the side missions in this game but better. Also the street crimes are better than GKs too. But. Lol.

The game does tell you who is weak to what, but it is hidden behind a lot of the reading and menus which is still bad. You have to go to the database, find the sections with gangs out of a list of other info you might not care about and find it with the lore reading… And the villains have that info in a completely separate spot, the personalities menu.
They needed to put that into in the information you get anytime you scan and enemy so you always see it naturally in gameplay. That would make it so much better.
Game needs serious optimization and driver support on PC. Playing on a 5900x/3080ti and struggle to maintain 60fps. Noticed my graphics card was only pulling 125-150w at most when it should be pulling 350-400w, games barely utilizing my GPU.
If Batman gets added as a playable character – reviewers who hated on this game will come back and claim it's the best ever.
Ultimately I feel as if this game suffers from an identity crisis. Almost as if it was originally conceived as an Avengers-style live service game, only to pivot into a co-op action adventure at the last minute when WB Montreal saw the response to that game.
I watched the entirety of Gotham Knights online, and I'm sorry but it does feel grind-y.
In your video you state that XP is carried over from one character to the next if you decide to switch characters mid-story, but you neglected to mention that each character's signature traversal mechanic, locked behind the "knighthood" feature which can only be completed by performing tedious open world tasks, does not carry over. Meaning you have to do the same types of crime stopping tasks with each character. Fun or no, that is an objectively grindy mechanic. Batgirl's glide needs to be unlocked… what.
I'm very interested in playing, but I have zero interest in paying full price for this.

I guess I'm just baffled by some of the takes made by people who defend this product. For example, regarding your argument about the speed of the bat cycle going too slow, you said "It's a Gotham that's not overrun by militia, or like a gangster, or like The Joker".
That's a foundational problem with this game's art direction because that's precisely what Gotham City is. It's not clean, and it doesn't look like a fictional New York. Gotham in Arkham Knight is itself a character in your experience: the incredible skyline, the gothic art deco littered with infrastructure that appeared centuries old, the accessible zeppelins hovering over the night sky, the litter and turf wars in the streets, the neon lights drenched in Gotham's perpetual rainstorm, the verticality of the imposing skyscrapers, the fact that you were able to enter buildings with ZERO loading screens. Zipping and drifting through the Gotham streets chasing criminals in the batmobile during a high speed chase. The sensation of engaging your afterburner to stop a volatile car by any means. That is Gotham.
As a console gamer, this game is not worth full price to me. Not at all. So I'm gonna wait for a super deep sale.

This game was getting mixed reviews on the PlayStation Facebook page, but I am in defense of this game. No, it is not perfect. There are things that need to be improved. But man, this is a good, challenging game, and the bosses don’t play on any difficulty level. I am a fan of this game. EDIT: I do have issues with some of the character voices.
I think it's great too. The campaign, the moderate amount of loot, the world, visuals, bosses, combat with some great combos if you get creative, and all the side stuff and profiles/audiologs. Theres always something i can do or go after and i love it. All the one's who hate it are mostly ones who want it to be arkham which it's not, or people who just cant get the hang of it. This game on hardmode is my obsession rn

They need to fix the game’s performance optimization. Neither DLSS nor FSR works, and going under 60 fps at 1440p on a 3080 is unacceptable.
bro talking about heroes being regular humans and not being spiderman, meanwhile on the screen, nightwing is jumping 10 meters high doing a flip and freezing mid air and flying for 2 seconds while grappling to a spot with 0 gravity involved in a process
I quite like this game. I've never spent so much time just doing side missions, going back to the belfry and getting new gear. It's kind of addicting. It stops the grind feeling grindy. I'm max level and I've barely done the main story. They tell you the elemental weaknesses in the database but let's be real no one is gonna read. It's fun and fresh. Easy to jump in and out whenever you want. It's not perfect and there's lot to improve but it's a good time.
