Infinix launches Note 50, Note 50 Pro with bigger batteries

Infinix launched the Note 50 series today, starting with the first two phones in Indonesia. The Note 50 and Note 50 Pro are based on LTE-only chipsets, but adopt a new design and larger batteries compared to their predecessors.

Infinix has outfitted the Note 50 and Note 50 Pro with the Helio G100 chipset from Mediatek. While it’s unfortunate that there isn’t a different SoC, Indonesia is lagging behind with its 5G deployment.

Both phone share the same footprint and display – a 6.78″ AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution. The size and resolution are the same as on the Note 40 and Note 40 Pro, but here Infinix has enabled a 144 Hz refresh rate. The Note 50 has a 13 MP front-facing camera, while the Note 50 Pro upgrades to a 32 MP selfie shooter.

The revamped camera module on the back features a 50 MP main camera. The Note 50 also has a 2 MP depth sensor alongside a light sensitivity sensor, whereas the Pro is equipped with an 8 MP ultrawide camera and a flicker sensor. Both devices offer Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).

Both the Infinix Note 50 and Note 50 Pro feature a 5,200 mAh battery and a metallic body, along with magnetic charging akin to MagSafe at up to 10W rates. The Note 50 is capped at 45W wired charging, while the Pro reaches up to 90W wired charging speeds.

Other notable features of the Note 50 and Note 50 Pro include a UD fingerprint scanner, FM radio, NFC, and XOS 15, based on Android 15. Both models are also compliant with IP64 dust and water resistance.

Infinix Note 50 comes in Green, Red, Gray, and Gold colors. The starting price in Indonesia for an 8/256 GB version is IDR 2,699,000 ($165). Note 50 Pro has more notable Purple, Gold, Gray, and Silver colors, and the base option of 8/256 GB starts from IDR 2,999,000 ($182).
