Gonna be getting it for Christmas for my switch!! I can’t wait to play it!!
I'm a newcomer to sonic games and really didn't have much interest in frontiers. What peaked my interest was the boss theme like Unbeatable, Breaking through it all and Find your flame. I loved the music so much, it gave me the motivation to try the game out. I choose to pick HARD difficulty (because i heard it was easy) and I'm having a blast. I 100% the 1st map on my 1st go. Now I'm on the 2nd map. I most likely would go back and check out older games when I'm done. All because of the music in the game🤣 and a quick shootout to "I'm Here" & "Vandalize" for also being bangers

At least the foundation is there now. Sega had a gameplay problem with Sonic for a while, and I feel like this solves a lot of it. I'm glad they have the skeleton of what works, and I'm hopeful to see what they do with Sonic going forward. I just wish they'd move away from wanting to make these newer Sonic games so serious though. Sonic was designed to be a mascot character, and I feel that he works best in a colorful world with lighthearted overtones to the gameplay and situations. Sonic's been that way forever, from bopping robots and having cute little animals pop out, to snowboarding down a sunny street on a piece of metal from a helicopter to some cheesy ska music. Lighthearted, wild and fun. That's Sonic to me. Frontiers tries to move away from all that by putting Sonic in this super serious, melancholy world, set to pianos, violins and rain. That's not what I turn to Sonic for. Just my two cents, but I think they should keep the foundation of the gameplay mechanics they worked on in Frontiers, and make the next game in a big open world full of color and wild things to do and people to meet. That would be a homerun for Sonic.

I really hope Sonic Team will improve the formula instead of always repeating their mistakes. This could have been Sonic Adventure 3 if they played their cards right
