My mother's been gone for 6 years now, and my father's been gone for nearly 14 years, but I can still remember my mother telling me that in the early years of their marriage, my late father would see a Basset Hound just about every day close to where they lived at the time in southwestern Washington State (likely on his way to/from work), and developed a rather strong liking for it; IIRC, it even came up often in their conversations.
A few years after I and my younger sibling came along following our parents relocation to a new home further north, we became a Toy Poodle family, and then a Miniature Schnauzer one as well. The two of each breed that were part of our family for years were amazing companions, but sadly, Dad never did get a Basset buddy. I can't help but think that he would have really appreciated seeing a video like this.
