I dont have a problem with Intergalactic trailer bc i know nothing about the actual game. its a new ip. Once a thorough game play trailer is shown, then we can start making assumptions for sure. Most ppl who dog the trailer are: Xbox fanboy, just want to see Playstation fail for no reason, fake gamers to boost their channel and etc. This trailer doesnt give you enough to even know if its gonna be a bad game or good. Hmmm I actually dont think this looks that bad. the Acting is decent and love the low fi sci-fi vibes.. Its like.. Alien.. but with 90'ies tech (funny i get more 90'ies vibes than 80'ies).. The Crash Bandicoot music kind of ruins the mood though – the trailer should have continued.. maybe show us the reason she wants to kill him in a flash back and then she says "do it" with getting the contract.

The overall artistic design of the world/environment is cool. And that Trent Reznor music is top-notch. But the character is legitimately off-putting. And if the leaks are correct, the gameplay will be bland and unoriginal – essentially The Last of Us, but in a futuristic sci-fi setting. I feel like Trent Reznor and the artistic team were wasted on this game.

They really needed to nail the introduction of this character. What do we know about her? She shaves her head. She has scars. She likes music and anime. She's a bounty hunter who takes a lot of risks and is willing to risk life and limb to go after this one particular guy. Her only redeeming quality is that she told her manager 'thank you' after she claimed the bounty on the guy. Clearly that woman cares for her somewhat. Still, there's no draw for me. I'm not sure what they could've changed in this scene to draw me in, but this wasn't it. I think, if she wasn't' shaving her head at the start but everything else was the same, I might be a little more intrigued, but the first thing you want me to see is that she shaves her head. That's the first impression we get. If it were a male character, I'd still be meh.
Reason the trailer is presented like the story is so important above gameplay or anything else is because Neil Fuckman thinks he's the Stanley Kubrick of videogames when he doesn't touch Amy Henning on his best day

I always cared a lot, too much even, for how characters look in media; I just enjoy looking at cool designs, creative clothing, etc (big dmc fan). And I used to think it was mostly a me thing, until I started playing FF14 and majority of the playerbase agreed that fashion is the real endgame, like, the most fun and important part of it. I always hated the "oh but its just cosmetics" argument when it comes to micro/macrotransactions, like visuals are just secondary.. smh
i like the trailer. it communicates the plot, an ex bounty/heist hunter is looking for their ex partner, the protagonist is stubborn about it which might be portrayed as a strong heartfelt bond later in the story, it has a cool GotG vibe that kinda borders with cyberpunk/vaporwave, it MIGHT be a soulslike, and also as a non-incel i can easily say i like the character design
