I finally got mine steam deck, to me it was the price issue it was hard to save I got the oled version of the 512gb cost to save for me was 600 took me from July of starting savings to November of Thanksgiving of my holiday check bout it at black Friday didn't get 1st of December now have few months an I'm loving it specially between skyrim an forza horizon an ark survival evolved bout give or take 3 to 4 hrs play time of battery life
Got the Og, but and the only things stopping me from upgrading is dealing with selling the current one. Probably will just wait for a second steam deck at this point.
Since of november 2024, when Rog Ally Z1E model got a massive discount, I don't see the point of getting a steamdeck anymore. The Z1E is around 399$ right now, and with a refurbished steamdeck lcd 64gb model going for 350$, I don't see the point in not paying 50$ for something more powerful that will last you way longer. And if you don't like windows, slap bazzite on it and call it a day. Used steamdeck oled is more expensive than a brand new Z1E. Had the Z1E for a couple of months now and it's great, after the struggles of updating everything on first day and customizing it, it works flawlessly now and I got no complaints.
Kinda just assumed my LCD lighter areas were LCD things. Just twisted it and yeah, WTH! OLED has now replaced it so yeah, nice. I have chucked a screen protector on though, not sure if I'll take it off as the anti glare is indeed pretty cool
My favorite is the WiiU GamePad 🙂
warthunder says that it is fixed to work with steam deck, but only certain game-modes work with it. still fun though

For anyone wondering about the image retention on the LCD: It gets it in like 30 seconds but you can just turn it off or do something else its not really that noticable

I have an oled too and i can tell that OLED Deck is great and beautifull, I tested with my LCD one from a friend and he said that the OLED is more cold than the LCD and the colors is more beautifully plus the system fan is more better for cooling for the 6nm APU. The buttons and joysticks are more eazy to press and joysticks too , are more lightly moving and pressing if u need on some games and i love it, and the batttery is getting on max 3 hours of gameplay and i tested , ig for me it took 3 hourse from nintendo games like Zelda thears of kindom and breath of the wild, some mario bros new games. I recomand the OLED one cause om those better new things and this biggest upgrade that valve made it. (P.S if u want ur SteamDeck both LCD and OLED to be more cooler i recomend DeckyLoader and search for Fantastic plugin and make ur curve fan speed for you're steamdeck to be cooler and silent)
I had finally saved up enough money for the lcd Steam deck. I bought it and then a month later the release the oled released. And then they decrease the price of the lcd deck I bought for $150 less than I paid. I could not get my money back because it was out of the return period. 😭

If they made a cheaper OLED, by lowering the storage to a 64GB EMMC again or even nothing at all so I could drop in my old SSD, I would upgrade. But I can't justify upgrading for $550 even though I really want to.
