Feature-rich application – four flight modes
TheFlyingApp (available on Android and coming soon to iOS), X-Fly’s dedicated application that you can download free, offers a range of functions not available with a conventional radio control system. You can access to video tutorials, manage a device list, update your X-Fly’s firmware via OTA* as it evolves, or find interactive help directly on each screen of the app. You can also customize your flight assistance settings, activate and manage your optional add-ons. And, of course, you’ll have access to 4 distinct flight modes, all fully configurable in terms of their interface, giving you total flexibility to adapt them to your preferences:
Touch Portrait mode:Control the X-Fly with one hand using the circular control area on your smartphone in vertical orientation. Easily manage the throttle (up/down) and steering (left/right) with intuitive touch controls.Tilt Portrait mode:Control the throttle with your thumb and the direction by tilting your phone. This vertical mode offers a dynamic and immersive way to control the X-Fly using natural movements.Landscape Touch mode: For two-handed control, switch to horizontal mode. Use one thumb to steer and the other to manage the throttle, providing precise, balanced flight control.Discover additional control options with the optional XPlay Joystick**, which can be easily attached to your smartphone to transform it into a true radio control system, with the unrivalled precision of physical joysticks.

Ejectable battery – continues flight
The X-Fly’s design makes it easy to eject the battery for recharging on its dedicated ultra-fast charger (about 12 minutes).
But you can also replace it with an additional battery* (optional): with a charge time of just 12 minutes, and a flight time roughly equivalent, a second battery lets you fly for an unlimited time with a pause of just a few seconds!

Open platform to customize your flight
An open platform for customising your flight: thanks to the external connector on its board, X-Fly is designed as an open platform. It allows you to easily customise your drone by adding various OPTIONAL* add-ons. Here are those available today:

FLIGHT ASSISTANCE – Pilot aids: algorithms using both pilot commands and sensor measurements. – Advanced technology: sensors developed with the French army, using a 6-axis gyroscope to make it easier to steer the aircraft. – This is the first drone with flapping wings to be able to incorporate this technology, which until now has only been possible on propeller UAVs. – Anti-fall assistance: this prevents the drone from rapidly losing altitude during a turn. – Straight flight assistance: straight flight corrects the bird’s heading.
CONTINUOUS FLIGHT – Autonomy: continuous flight for up to 12 minutes per charge. – The battery can be recharged in 12 minutes on its dedicated charger, which can be connected to any USB charger (smartphone charger, computer port, etc.). – Exclusive battery swap system: the battery can be swapped instantly with another battery that has already been charged, for continuous flight time.
CONTROL – Controlled by smartphone (XPlay controller optional) – the accelerator: similar to that of a car, controls the speed at which the wings flap (adjustable from 5 km/h to 20 km/h depending on the tail setting). This allows you to manage the bird’s altitude, or to glide when the tail is set to the lowest setting. Thanks to its super-light weight, it glides very well. – Steering (left/right): a patented micro-mechanism imitates the movements of real birds by deforming the wings to turn. – A rudder improves steering control when gliding.
CONTROL APPLICATION – Available for Android via Bluetooth 5.2 for remote control of the bird in flight. – 150 m range from the device (for pre-Bluetooth 5.0 versions, the 150 m range may be significantly reduced). – Multi-player system (several people flying in the same place). – Firmware updates via the application. – Different control interfaces: intuitive mode/classic mode/XPlay controller mode (optional).
