Man, this intro was so cool, but then the game gets so uninteresting afterwards. If they had stuck with this sort of tone/pacing for the entirety of the game, and also kept letting Wukong be an actual character instead of a boring blank slate, I would have enjoyed it way more. And the gameplay felt so fun and exciting at first too, but then they take away almost all of your moves, give you a pointless stamina bar, an annoying MP bar ON TOP of ability cooldowns (Pick one or the other devs), and the lack of any sort of Block or Parry (that doesn’t cost MP) makes every fight feel like a dodge spamming party. 10/10 intro, 7.5/10 game.

God I wish I watched this video 2 days ago, I could have saved $60 on what has got to be the most overhyped and underwhelming game I've played in years. So-so graphics. Absolutely painful voice acting. Boring, soulless, button mashing combat. Seems like the devs were able to capitalize heavily on nostalgia with this one. And no, this opening scene is not that good. Plenty of other games are much better.
