As a person who REALLY enjoyed Sonic Adventure I and II way back in the day, I definitely have my eyes on this game. The prologues in particular are so nostalgic as a '90s kid who grew up with the old Sonic games and old cartoons. The Knuckles debut that was released earlier today is a prime example of this nostalgic fusion.
Might be the first Sonic game in a VERY long time that I pick up. The skill trees and open world with the classical Sonic elements retained where they make sense are icing on the cake.
Only other thing that I'd really love to see is the Chao Gardens, haha. I spent an embarrassing number of hours in there.
I wish the open world looked like the sonic art style of the stages
It looks like they was going with the super Mario Odyssey type open world ummm like breath of the wild maybe but it's just that they didn't have enough for him to do as Mario and Zelda because mostly he's based off just moving fast.

Persona and Like a Dragon are at all-time highs, so if we can get a proper 3D Sonic return to form too…as an old school Sega kid from way back, this makes me very happy. A single player Phantasy Star game would be the cherry on top.

Everyone keeps comparing it to Breath of the Wild, but the the open-world traversal and interactions remind me of That Game Company's Flower. I'm actually really excited about it. It looks really fresh for a Sonic game.
