Actually, i promise you that these "woke journos" who called for the boycott are all of them laughing on their way to the bank. Let me let you in on a lil secret: The "woke" journos who called for a boycot of this game, they just did it to drum up controversy. They used you to generate clicks and views for their boycott articles. They have no principles, they just clickbaited you anti woke people for your attention (aka advert money). They don't care about trans issues, because if they did, they would actually defend this game. This game has a very woke character creator which allows for trans character creation. A true trans ally would LOVE this game. They just pretended to hate it for the clicks and the dislikes and the views and the ad dollars lol. They dont care that no one wants to boycott this game, hell they KNEW that no one wants to boycott it. That's why they wrote their "let's boycott" columns – to inflame and provoke a controversy lol. They won! They are richer because we all fell for it. We drummed up the controversy they deliberately created. We played right into their hands.
They will just ruin the sequel by making it multiplayer

4hrs into the game, absolutely loving it. Yeah the graphics are not next Gen, but I rather they had focused on the world, puzzles, exploration, spell casting. Which they have, and in my opinion nailed
Actual tears in my eyes – we’ve all been following this games since the initial leaks, sat through all the rumors and delays, and had to deal with the “narrative” of the media. Words cannot describe the emotions I’m feeling at the fact that this game has finally come out – and come out critically acclaimed. I’m so proud of Avalanche, and being that the game is going also going to sell like hot cakes, I can only imagine all that they’re going to add in the future. ive never looked at reviews/scores when going to watch a movie, or playing a game… I really don't need someone's opinion to know if im gonna like a certen game or not…
They just did something amazing somehow they convinced steam to allow preload PC players rejoice for we may be playing this sooner than anticipated the other day
8 Hours in and I can say that this game is even better than we were hoping for! The map is ridiculously huge, even with an upgraded broom it takes forever to traverse and there is stuff to find around every corner. Combat is amazing feeling (The swapping between sets of spells takes a bit to get used to but becomes second nature after a while).
Fighting enemies of way higher level isn't impossible and is incredibly fun but one slip up can hurt badly.
The game runs extremely well on the series X besides a couple tiny spots in Hogsmead and Hogwarts where the frames drop a bit, but I am playing before the day one patch to that's understandable.
Hope everyone has as much fun as I am!

Honestly, fuck the facial animation and stuff. Too much emphasis on convos (every single one) in games. Newer Horizon had that issue imo. But I still need to finish. Not a roommate friendly game
You don’t have to like the chef to enjoy the food. You can like hogwarts legacy without liking JK Rowling. Sadly people are labeling fans of this game as transphobic and its just immature.
Interesting to note that this game’s score is around where Spider-Man PS4 and the Arkham games ended up, which are highly respected licensed video games. Legacy has been put in good company. I like one reviewer’s comparison to how this is the equivalent of the first Arkham game to really build off of moving forward, which should excite fans just as much as the release of this one.

Wow I can't believe this. I felt for sure the hype wouldn't even come close to meeting expectations. It really says something about what a studio and creative artists can do when given the funding and trust to put love and passion into a project. Congratulations to Avalanche, looks like you just made it to the big leagues. I know they undoubtedly had so much pressure on them during this project, especially after JK Rowling's comments.

otherwise I would've continued. If you preordered the digital deluxe edition on xbox, change your region to new zeland (idk about other platforms) but that's how I got to play it early, absolutely amazing, loved it for those 2 hours I played.
