Oh god i think i know what hes doing. Its something i do to (and is a bad habit) where you get inspiration from a bunch of different outlets but rather than using this “inspiration” to help inspire the games story as a whole. Hes getting these “inspirations” as he’s developing the story. Usually as a way to counter this you need to someone to help filter the ideas but since no one bothers to stop him…oh boy…
I remember when my most anticipated game of 2015 got its story leaked: MGS V. Just a few months before its release, and the story was terrible as well. But it turns out that the leak was fake. I’ve never believed in any story leaks with no proof. With TLOU2 we had cutscenes leaked, but this is just a text and we just have to believe it really was leaked by a ND employee with no proof. I’m not buying it chief, not with proof.

I'll start this by saying that I have no bias towards Naughty Dog, Idk enough about the studio to have a bias towards them.
What I will say though, the source is from a disgruntled employee, so if even portions of this are true, they could easily be purposefully "forgetting" any context on any of the weaker story beats.
