But my cat gets into and scratches everything. If she ruins my speakers I will have her for dinner.
I have one room of 10 x 12. plus a 2 x 10 balcony.
But some times I am out on whole weekend.
So, I feel that it will be cruel for the cat if I keep one
I will spare ya some time: Yes.
Thanks man I rent a room and this video has helped me a lot to feel better about moving her in
I have a small domestic shorthair cat. Im currently in an apartment, with one small and one medium dog. Im in a master bedroom, its not the biggest but its a pretty good size. Would I be able to keep my cat in this master bedroom? Im also planning on walking her outside so she can get exercise and be outdoors.
I live in a home with my daughter and son-in-law. They have three German shepherds. We have a gate that separates the hall from my bedroom in my bathroom. My cats hang out in my bedroom most of the time. At 9 o’clock when my family goes to bed with their three dogs, it’s cats night out time!! They know exactly what time the dogs are usually leaving the living area and then they have the freedom of the house.
One cat is my daughters and she feels more comfortable coming out even if the dogs are there, but my cat wasn’t raised with dogs so he is cautious. After three years of living here, he is finally starting to come out more in the daytime but still avoids dogs.
If you are in a one bedroom apartment, realize you’re eventually going to need more space like that cat.
i’m having to move i live in a 2 bedroom apartment right now relatively small, my cats are about a little over a year and 11 months old. i have to move back to my moms house for a few months and she has a 1 female cat who is superrrr aggressive to other cats so i am going to have 1 bedroom and the other one will be turned into a room for my cats. i am hoping to put wall shelves and cat trees and hopefully a thing that kinda hangs out the window so they can see outside a little more as well as bird feeds and humming bird feeders, i’ve never let them outside as i worry they wouldn’t know which home was theirs so they sit won’t be aloud outside because the other cat who’s aggressive is an inside outside cat and she mainly attacks outside (they had to get rid of their other cat because the female would go outside and stalk her and jump her) i’m curious if they would be happy like that ? if making the whole room into a play room for them will not damper their quality of life as i only want my cats happy (that’s why they won’t be aloud near the aggressive female) we are talking about cutting out a small hole through both rooms with a cat door for them to come into our room as well just not throughout the house. i’m hoping there’s no hate as i’m trying to better my cats lives while dealing with a complicated situation and if i hear enough that their quality of lives is diminished i will probably be looking to rehome them for the better of themselves. my mom also has 2 dogs herself and i have 2 myself so im trying to find ways to make all my animals happy without causing anyone to much anxiety, because my 11 month old kitten was diagnosed with herpes a month ago and i worry about flare ups (it that were to happen i’d be happy to get him his medication) i just don’t want to put my animals through any hardships
My grandma may have been open to the idea of letting me own a cat, but it'd have to stay in my room, or my mom's room, my room is like a box, but.. I would like to own one, but i've legit been stopped because my grandma is afraid of them, however me and my mom would like to get a kitten and a puppy so they can grow up together.
My cats have a room, I let them go out of their room here and there but not all the time!
So happy for this video because my roomate starts slamming doors and stuff in the kitchen if her cats don’t get one day in the living area. (She doesn’t ever let me know when a good time is and excepts me to read her mind)
I live in a studio and my kitty is doing great
Having roommates is also a prime example of pets having to stay in one room most of the time.
I got my cat a year ago shortly before a cancer diagnosis. Spent a year bed ridden. But now that I'm doing better and moving around again, she won't leave me bedroom except to go to the bathroom
I’ve been wanting a cat for a long time but my mom loves plants and we have a lot of them, so if I get a cat I have to keep it in my room and only let it go out supervised by me, is that I good idea?
Am I doing the right thing? Just brought home three stray cats from work. A beautiful one year old and two four month old. Was planning on training them and then find a home for them. But now I don’t want them separated because they are so close. I already have one cat that isn’t very nice. So I have been keeping the three new cats in a bedroom where I fed them, love on them and play with them. I just want them happy, loved and cared for. What should I do? Find a home for them and they will probably be separated??? My mama heart is struggling.
yes they can I have 2 cats they're siblings and they are 1.5 years old and I have a pretty descent sized studio with an enclosed porch and they seem to be content BUT I work from home currently so I am always with them so that might help but soon we're moving to a 1 bedroom so they'll have more space to make a mess lol I also have a 10 year old pit full who lives with us cuz only issue I have is trying to keep the [place clean m mainly from my dog cuz she goes outside and stuff but the cats are pretty clean!
My 41/2 months nth old kittens have the whole 1100 square feet condo. They nap with me in my bedroom but they have their own big bedroom. My condo has two big bedrooms. So they have ever they need and a huge bed with comfy blankets. I do put them in their room when I am out and when I go to bed at night.
I have a one room apartment. I basically never leave. I have a doll face Persian, not pedigree,I’m scared of losing him. How long can he be expected to live? He sees a vet once a year. He is 9 or 10 years old.
I need advice… I have 6 cats, ranging from ages 5-1, that my ex threw on me. I’ve had them in my room with me for 2 and a half years total.
I need some advice
Is that safe?
I will say, my room has a smell.. I do take care of them, I change their 3 litter boxes (all a pretty decent size) but before they were fixed + occasional UTIs, they do end up peeing in here. And sadly, it’s carpeted 🙁
I clean it too the absolute MOST I can!
I also have 4 food bowls and 2 water bowls
Is this all okay?
I live in a small apartment but have no hesitation regarding my soon to come kitten. Toys are ready, small resting Areas arranged and soon a cat tower. Taking a walk is in the preparation and 12 years with no cat is soon to be over. I hope.10 days left
thinking about doing this as I am the only one in the family who is mildly allergic to cats. My husband, son and daughter have no allergies to cats. They have been asking for one for years… I love dogs but such high maintenance. I'm thinking this would be a great idea to reduce allergies when guests come over. The dander is contained in one room and better controlled. They would have a guest bedroom with a cat tree, scratching post, litter box , play area, etc. I don't believe a cat should have free range of a whole house anyway.
