I suspect you might have a warm undertone especially if you like lip colours with a lot of brown in them (e.g. meet me in Berlin, which is very warm and great on you). I'm a warm Autumn and those lip colours with a lot of brown look good on me too.
I know it sounds crazy but I also have a paler skin colour skin and for a long time I thought I had a cool undertone as well.

I have a few of them like Kitten Mischief which is definitely my fav especially paired with smokey eye make up. Now I am thinking of getting either Spirited Away or Painterly but for me some lipsticks look dull on me especially darker purpleish colours. So I tend to gravitate to more warm toned ones however cannot decide between these two… Spirited Away looks lovely and so does Painterly but I am afraid Painterly is a bit too dark and purpleish.
By the way I also have Velvet Ribbon and I dont know if it is my fair but rosy skintone but Ribbon goes really dark on me and looks ashy. So it is not my favourite at all. Strange right?

I think I’ve commented this before, but we must have very similar coloring though I am overall a little more muted and deeper. I love how you talk about how pigmented, cool toned lips can skew lipstick colors and look off. Meet me in Berlin is almost plummy when I put it on (I love it).
I just ordered Velvet Bloom which I am really curious about. It’s cool toned, but pretty bright, not as bright as Skyscraper Rose though.

I absolutely agree with you regarding atomic cherry huge disappointment such poor colour payoff and not cherry at all,I sold mine in a few hours ! wonder wheel i agree is SO much better and full of bright colour and im so relieved i bought both at the same time as if id only tried atomic cherry it would really have put me off trying other lucent colours!
