Thanks for saying it how it is, Coop. This game is criminally underrated and didn't deserve the rushed reviews that it got. I loved the lack of background story. Atmosphere and setting is king. I tend to fill in the gaps with imagination anyway. So I loved figuring out my own story without being spoon-fed the narrative. Loved the new Dead Space too, but this has a different exposition and vibe and I dig that.
i heard there will be a story extension something or other DLC in summers and i cant wait for it… absolutely loved this game…made me shit my pants…so did my brothers

I absolutely loved Playing Through this Game and it's alot better than people gives Credit.
I can see why people didn't like the Dodge Mechanic but implemented with the Melee, Grab and Shooting, it can be really fun and satisfying.
The lack of Boss Variety is defo an Issue and possibly the Story can be straightforward aswell but this is a Game Version of a Popcorn Movie for me, just Play and Enjoy what is happening before you're Eyes guys.

I don't understand what everyone is banging on about The Calisto Flockhart Protocol, I've had a colossal amount of fun, dying, exploring, and learning about its world, The nice crunchy pop when ya bat attack a goon I'll never get sick of, and back surfing a s*** pipe, I've never laughed so hard being turned to sausage mince on a fan at 100mph, I've lost track how many times I've completed the game with that new game plus, And Hardcore is pure insanity and I love it, especially the stealth section doing a Benny Hill running circles around the meat popcicle nutters and lodging my metal bar in their ear, gosh I love this game, looking hell forward to more content and crossing my fingers that every game mechanic used is expanded on its sequel, it's gonna be a riot fun if we go to an underwater facility eventually in its DLC or Sequel, this game rocks
Nice review CC! Glad to see they fixed some of the issues, never understood the smear campaign myself and I believe this experience will age like a fine wine. I do think they should have marketed the game as an action horror rather than survival horror as many went into expecting classic survival horror. I'm hoping for a sequel or dlc I want to see more of this world 🤞
Bought this game day one! literally just started playing it the last 48hrs and absolutely luv this game. A solid 8.5 at least. The graphics, sound, gameplay are incredible.

Callisto had amazing graphics Dead Space had an amazing story
They just added a black level slider to compensate for the raised black levels in HDR. It's really something to behold. It crushes all blacks and removes all fine detail and shadow contrast. A hammer to fine china. Impressive.
I really enjoyed it. A super polished sci-fi/horror experience. Scared the shit out of me in places. Great characters and voice acting as well.

I also beat dead space remake impossible on the first run because of all the experience with the other games. There are just certain games that I'm really good at for some reason. Usually anything that involves shooting. And one of my deaths in this game was me backing myself into a hazard because I didn't look first 😆
