Poco will launch the Poco F7 series next week, but we already have the top model, the Poco F7 Ultra, in for review, as well as the Poco F7 Pro. While we wait for the full reveal, we can already share some of our findings from the review process – here come the benchmarks.
With the F7 Ultra, Poco is aiming high, and it’s trading blows with the big players when it comes to performance. Previous Poco F models have used older flagship chips, e.g. 8+ Gen 1 on the F5 Pro and 8 Gen 2 on the F6 Pro, or the lower “s”-tier, e.g. the 8s Gen 3 on the Poco F6. With the Poco F7 Ultra, Poco wanted to offer the best current chipset, which is why this is the first model in the F-series to call itself “Ultra”.
Poco F7 Ultra
The Poco F7 Ultra is a flagship and is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite. The Poco F7 Pro uses last year’s chip, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. That already gives the Ultra a leg up in performance, but it also has an option for more RAM. Both models have 12/256GB as their base configuration. However, the Ultra can be upgraded to 16/512GB, while the Pro goes up to 12/512GB. The upgraded versions are the ones we used for the tests below.
The F7 Ultra posted generally excellent numbers in our usual benchmarks, even if it wasn’t the most Elite of showings – other phones with the same chipset had a bit of an advantage under most loads. Conversely, the Poco has the upper hand against non-Elite competitors like the OnePlus 13R (SD 8 Gen 3), the vivo X200 (D9400), or the Xiaomi 14T (D9300+).
Under prolonged load, we noted a relatively standard steep decline in performance. The CPU graph is perhaps slightly worse than average, while the 3DMark stress test may be a little above par – overall, not a standout showing, but not really a troubling one either.

The Poco F7 series will launch on March 27, that is Thursday next week. We will cover the launch event and, of course, will continue working on the full review in the meantime.
