I loved GK, played the main story with every single Knight at least once.
The problem is they could have done so much with the story. Like Dick's connection to the Court. His great great granpa William Cobb who was one of the greates Talon of the Court in the comics should have been in the game at least.
I wish the game had different writers. T_T
The sidequest characters are done to death, boring villains. They should have chose villains who have personal connections with the heroes. Like James Gordon Jr (Barbara's superviallain half brother)for Barbara, William Cobb/Deathstroke or Raptor for Dick (with all of these he has deep ties to), Black Mask/Penguin for Jason. I have no idea about Robin tho.
The story of the game is decent. It is not great and it has a ton of missed opportunity.
I'm glad other people really enjoy Gotham Knights other than me! I am literally still playing this game in November 2024! I love patrolling at night, I really wish they wouldn't have abandoned this game and did some story DLC content! Robin has been my go to lately, his stealth is superb! I love doing the Slide Ways stealth take downs on big brutes, dropping out the sky from nowhere in a poof of smoke and landing on them choking them out! Too bad the devs didn't make an "heir to the cowl" suit for each character though with Nightwing, Robin and Redhood getting a batsuit of their own. That would have made up completely for Batman being dead-dead in this game, if at the end of the game you got an actual batsuit! Thats the only reason I use Batgirl at times, to look like Batman and glide. But other than that, the closest to Batman especially stealth wise is Robin.

The people in the comments saying “he plays right, but the game still looks like sh1t, Arkham Knight is way better”… i can quite literally say that on an Arkham Knight video…. And y’all will say i’m wrong, or you’ll say “well people have preferences”…. And you quite literally just prefer the Arkham Knight combat… but that doesn’t mean the game is bad… but it’s not your cup of tea….. and you’re playing it wrong (also love the video, keep up the good work)

They did a terrible job with the story, the characters, the combat, the stealth and the traversal. The game isn’t fun no matter how you play it. This is extremely self evident when you look at how quickly it lost players.
Heck right now I just checked the steam charts and Arkham knight has around 4 times the amount of current players Gotham knights has and Arkham city has nearly twice as much. And those games have been around for nearly a decade.

Theres a few things that could have been better, but overall its a good game. My biggest issues with the game is it wasn't as immersive as I would have liked it to be. The progression of the game is designed in a way where it doesn't feel great to explore or… "progress" at the start of the game the whole map is essentially open to you, and you immediately get the batcycle. While on paper that doesn't seem like an issue, in the game it completely destroys any sense of progression, as all missions are randomly placed and usually far away so you are sort of forced to constantly use the batcycle, which makes it to where it loses its luxery. The mission placement is terrible. It feels like it's all randomly placed and there's no real map progression. Like unlocking new areas or entering areas that are more difficult. You'll be going back and forth to different districts constantly, not to mention it all looks the same. It also has that extraction game feeling, which some people might like but I don't, the progression of the game being designed by going to a hub section to buy equipement, level up, and change cosmetics instead of that being a seamless interaction.
This game $10 at Walmart on the X. Is it worth it? I’m think about picking it up.
Not everyone finds woke games fun, and the dialogue in the game is modern audiences leves of cringe, meaning this game was made for a very specific modern audience the same audience who plays dustborn or concord.

The game was good, I liked it a lot. I think the main issue was the technical ones at launch for PC players. And while entering a new generation, people expected noticeable upgrades from the PS4, and the 30 fps was a big issue then.
I feel the same with suicide squad, is a super fun grinding shooter looter!
The game is actually fun and addictive. Don’t have that feeling of being invincible like the Arkham games but once you understand the combat and tactics of each character you’ll want to keep playing. Especially upgrading everything. I fight random crimes more than sticking to the story😅
