There’s many different versions. I’m not sure which to purchase. Just Skyrim V. Special edition. Anniversary edition. The Elder Scrolls Online. I’m very interested in the online edition. Looking for advice
I personally prefer the Witcher because of the story telling and the abundance of choices your give which even the smallest can affect your story!
People can say that Skyrim is a shallow RPG all they want, but at the end of the day no other single game has given me so many hours of fun. Even if the quests don’t contain a whole lot of choices and branching paths, Bethesda went above and beyond to present the Elder Scrolls lore in such an accessible and intriguing way.

I played Skyrim when It first came out and it got me through a tough breakup and I got lost in the World of Skyrim and forgot about her haha. I still play it to this day and own it on Xbox, Ps4 and Switch. One of my favourite games of all time and can't wait for Elder Scrolls 6 and waste another 10 years of my life haha

300 hours are 5 non stop days.. I challenge it!
So I just started playing Skyrim in April 2021 and I don’t like it. I get that in 2011 this game was groundbreaking but today after 15 hours or so I just got bored. I think Soulsborne games ruined it for me as any other type combat now seems inadequate. Can’t wait for Elder Ring
I strongly recommend Enderal which has better story, better graphics and better eveything.

I still think Skyrim holds up graphicly pretty well at time of Skyrim releas there wasn't a game you could do the shear amount of things as in Skyrim that had half the graphics fallout new Vegas probably my favorite game ever but graphics wise wasn't half as graphicly pleasing as Skyrim I wish they would do a remaster of new vages in skyrims graphic engine
Dude. Having no backstory is better so you can make your own backstory for role playing! Plus the non voiced characters is so you can make your own voice.

I just clicked play, but wanted to give my two cents. I starting playing for the first time in February 2021. I've already reset my character twice. (Currently Wood Elf, being a sneaky archer thief dude). Yes. It's so much fun. Buy it.
There is actually a spell for showing you the path in a quest I forgot what it's called but I think it's in alteration

Also, just started Skyrim with graphical mods and it's brilliant. I missed a lot of great games I'm those years (New Vegas, Skyrim, Oblivion, Gothic/Risen) due to pre med and med school. Even after playing masterpieces like Original sin 2 and Witcher 3, I still think this is an outstanding game. I even bought Oblivion due to it.
Red dead 2 vs skyrim? The 2 best games of all time imo but I can't decide which is better.

God, imagine this game with all the bugs and dialogue fixed, naughty dog graphics, sound design, AI, more varied voice acrors, and acual animations going inside the buildings without loading screens. It would over perfectify an already beautifully written and rich world.
The reason they don't give you a backstory is so you are able to make up your own, it is an rpg. I wish it was more like fallout new vegas where you could pick traits and would have special dialogue options for that specific trait.
