All they needed to do is agree to place a notice on the start screen that they acknowledge Yasuke was not a samuri and that rhe game has a fictional story of what could have been if he was a samuri with an interesting plot through the lense of Assasins Creed.

Not gonna lie, Yasuke wouldve been such a cool side character who gives you missions or being an ally. That alone wouldve been a much more enjoyable game than this woke shit.

I loved watchdogs1&2 it played every single assassins creed to the end up til origins. I used to play multiple hours of R6 every day i was playing for Honor when i wasn’t playing the other games. First racing game i enjoyed and that got me into was the crew 2. Ubisoft was doing pretty good until they decided to please people that don’t even care about video games. If the woke crowd cared about video games Ubisoft wouldn’t be close to bankrupt. Wrong Product, Wrong „audience“

They could not care less about the players…they release buggy broken piles of garbage on the players dollar all the time where they are expected to beta test it for them. It was clearly a tactical retreat (which is probably a sign they do actually need this to do well. Problem is that their ego is more important to them (these people will hardly ever admit to being wrong and will deflect any and all responsibility of failure on their consumer or whomever else they can blame as long as its not themselves), so I doubt they do any major changes by removing some of the more controversial elements that people were upset with. They are hoping that the anger will die down and that people forget. I'm sure the game was also buggy and could use polish (I mean these are people that literally plagiarized content probably to save time, and there clearly was a lack of research done on the topic so I'm not surprised other parts not immediately visible would have corners cut), but I doubt that was the reason for delay as it has never stopped them before from releasing a game half baked. They would have gladly shipped it had there not been so much controversy. They fear it failing so they delayed it, fixing the bugs were an after thought….
I think Ubisoft is postponing this to next year just to keep The shareholders hanging there and move this disappointment. Theyre not changing Yasuke away, they are not making The game good in these few extra months. They are just buying themselves a bit of time so that they dont have 2 Big flops in 1quarter.

The game is so buggy that their TRILERS have showcased said bugs/bad textures/janky animations. You know, the things that are supposed to show some bullshit hyper-optimized gameplay the player will never see? Yeah this time they gave us what the game actually looks like and wow is it bad, it looks like a game I would have expected from 10 years ago.

At this point I am no longer interested in Ubisoft beginning to "correct" its practices to attract real gamers again, I would honestly prefer to see them go bankrupt so that it is well recorded in the heads of the rest of the developers who adopted the DEI policies what It's going to happen if they continue with that, honestly it's better that or in a few years they will try to introduce wokism to us the hard way again.

The glitches thing is a given since we surmise they have lazy specialty hires working from home. The only way I can see them reducing Yasuke is if they add a third character that actually represents Japan. You almost feel sorry for them but every one of their problems was avoidable.
