My cat Mollie has started peei and poo in my bed???
i have always owned a cat all my life am in my early 50s now and have two cats that dont like ro be cuddled one is a rescue cat we dont know much about who is 7 the other cat is 6 they are both domestic one is ginger
I never had a cat that never wants to be cuddled at all. They all wanted to, but at their own time and terms. My latest cat that came to me was the only one I had to "fight for" to trust me! Yes he had a house and people that cared for him. But he came nevertheless to my house, with 4 cats, he loved my house, and my gardens…. He hated me, he hated my cats… but he loved my dry food (Purina One) that was always available for my cats as dry food, since my former last cat adopted (the cat of my late parents, came to me.)
But i never gave most cats that walked into my life/ home frest food. There could be people searching for their cats. I did not want to Kitten nap those cats. But as far as my investigations went…. nobody reacted. Not even in in my later neighbourhood!
Or some times a little to much too late. Then reacted "that is my cat, I want him back"
And yes they wanted this cat too little to late.
Sure with pain in my heart I gave those cat back to their owner(s). But those cats always returned to me.
Maybe it is not to me to say…but these cats all were quite alone during the day. One family were almost working in the same schedule… were hardly at home…. for about 10 or 11 hours a day. I adviced them, that one of them could work earlier for 1 or two hours, and the other one could do the same… but than just 1 or two hours later.
Every cat needs beïng petted, to bond with their "people" But some " catowners" do not realize that.
And yes I am unemployed (sorry!) but cats like people they trust. But every cat wants humans' that really care for them.
Cats aren’t humans. You need to meet a cat where it is. My cat wasn’t a cuddler but was so affectionate in lots of other ways, head butting, love bites, nibbling and rubbing. They are all wonderfully different.
Will cuddle …for FOOD 🥘🦁❤️
Thanks for the video 👍🐾
Don't know if someone has mentioned this, but some cats are very sensitive to smell. I have a cuddly cat but if I put on a certain face cream in the evening, she doesn't want to come close to me. So if cat stops to cuddle, perhaps it doesn't like your perfume.
Your video title is such click bait! Why is this a "SHOCKING REASON" why your cat wont want to cuddle with you? Give me a break. 🙄
They are as varied in personality as we are.
My kitten was very cuddly. Then he hurt his leg. And was on pain meds for 2 1/2 months. He needed it operated on. Now he doesn't want to be held.
6:23 look at that sugar booger
My cat chose me one ye.ar ago today; she was about three weeks old and she and her five littermates had been abandoned in a neighbor's yard. She didn't seem to want to be cuddled much so I didn't force the issue. She does like chin/jaw/shoulder scritches and will close her eyes and leans her head down for head strokes and sometimes rub against my legs. She does have plenty of comfy places to sit and has a couple of favorite chairs :). She's also started sitting where I sit on the couch. Her name is Muggsi Blanche McGraw but I also call her "Sweet" or "Sweet girl." She does like treats but plays with them at first. And she's got toys to play with.
love how their eyes reflect in the dark
My big boy was not a snuggler at first. Now he’s a marshmallow and loves it. I just kept loving on him until he saw that it was a good experience. He snuggles all the time now.
not just personality
we didnt know but our cat had breast cancer … a sign of this is extensive licking near "underarm"
be sure to have your cat examined for such at checkups – early diagnosis is essential!!
You do not have to put a cat's bed in a private place, but you have to make sure that wherever you put the cat's bed that that is the only thing you put there so they know it is their safe zone.
My siamese boy was so cuddling with me when he was 4 months old and suddenly started to keep his distance slowly day by day. No truama no stress. It is just the way he is now. He still loves me like crazy. He talks to me he plays games he licks me every time my face close to him. When i blow a kiss, he responds back with slow blinks. Some cats develops this behavior. That’s their personality and that’s not something to be fixed.
My cats cuddle – but on their terms 🤣🤣 When it suits them
my mochi was found out side my work at a not safe place for her about 12 weeks old she stared off feral kitty and u been work with her
I’ve had 2 Ragdolls and neither were interested in affection. One far less than the other and I mean absolutely no chance.
I’ve had 7 Siamese and they were all big babies.
the owner of my cat died and the family didn't know there was a cat in the house. after a month when they came to clean house, they found her starving. she survived only because she drank from the toilet. someone rescued her and i adopted her. she will let me pet her a little, but gets irritated quickly. she doesn't like being held. she doesn't like catnip.
i've done all these things so i guess i'll just have to be patient. LOL
Yes all precious kitties have their own personalities. Just be patient & use common Sense (IMO) & Please don’t refer to them as “it”!! ✌️🐈⬛
I adopted my cat 8 years ago. She was 9 months old at the time. She's never liked being held but is less aggressive about it now. She sleeps next to me most of the time and when I work from home she is in a cat bed rt beside me but never on my lap. This is so different from my previous cat that it was heartbreaking 💔 at times. My first two cats were both cuddlebugs. She follows me everywhere so I console myself with that and she lets me pet her most of the time. She's my princess and best friend. ❤❤
My cat attacks me and lives upstairs in a cupboard not friendly !
I don't agree with a lot of reasons given here. I have a cat, 12yr, who was a rescued 8wk old feral kitten. I think they got her when she was 5-6 wks old. She has been in a very loving home. Never mistreated or any trauma. She's a happy cat. She does like to be petted and is affectionate on "her" terms BUT she absolutely freaks at being held or cuddled. I've had cats all my life and love cuddling with them and that close contact. Miss it. I just chalk it up to the fact that this just her personality type. She's just a way different type. For instance, most cats will head rub or head butt as a sign of affection, my cat will head "ram" you. She is showing affection but she weighs 27lbs and she uses such force that its quite painful. He
"Cat love warm comfortable bed". Just as long as you don't have ANY amazon box around 😅😅😅
Cats'? Cats'? Cats'? THE APOSTROPHE DOES NOT INDICATE PLURALITY! Learn this!!!
Very good material
I Love You Buddies❤😊
AI generated crap
My cat wants her head petted, under her chin rubbed and the area above her tail rubbed ALL THE TIME, but she doesn't want me to hug her. So when I get tired and want her to go away, I just try to hug her.
I miss n love it anyways he just acts like he don't like it he really does mmmmmuah ❤
My male was born in a rescue after his mother was trapped as part of a trap/neuter-spay/release program. Ive had him for 7 years. The only way i can touch him is if he jumps on my lap. I stroke him for a little bit and then he scurries off. My female was born in a house with a German shepherd. She had two brothers that she bullied but was more close to the dog. At 3 weeks old i went to visit her and she hated when i picked her up. When i brought her home, she played but hated when i picked her up. But she loved my dog. She was all over him and he was annoyed by her. I don’t think the people who had her when she was born never picked her up.
My vet recommended a plug in defuser for my cat. Wow. It has made such a positive difference in her!
Not all cats want to cuddle. Don’t force the issue. You can end up with greater behavioural problems.
I trained one of my cats who I recued from a dumpster 10 years ago as a kitten to become more affectionate. It took around 5 years but he came around. I basically let him have his own space for that long and petted my other cats and just let him hang around us whenever he wanted. I think he wanted to be cuddled but just couldn't process it. Now he wont leave me alone 🙂and has integrated well into he family unit. Not always purrfect but well enough (he still finds it challenging at times to tolerate my other cats). It is his personality and that is great.
I have 5 cats, of which 2 who don’t like to be cuddled but I helped their mother birth them and they were raised in my living room or in my bedroom for when they wanted quiet. They all had constant socialization and liked being petted and cuddled when younger. They just have more aloof personalities. When they WANT to be cuddled it is different.
I've been adopted by a cat who had chosen to be feral rather than stay in a home which had reclaimed her once with the admonishment that they wouldn't come for her again. She broke into my home soon after my dearest cuddle bug passed and spent the winter with me. She's very different from any cat I've ever shared my life with. No picking up or hugging but will accept some short strokes. The most difficult part of our developing relationship is on me, I must not expect her to react as my dear one did. She's her own cat.
My cat sometimes comes to lay next to me really close in bed when im going to sleep. He would let me put my hand on his tummy and we would sleep like that until I need to move 😊 he is not a fan of being picked up but does like pets and scratches
Mine wants to cuddle while I'm asleep, he noses under my hand and walks under to get a semi-conscious pet then curls up on top of me and kneads…
our cat was once feral. she loves touches, but cannot stand to be held.
Cats get their temperament from their father
My rescue cat does not like to be picked up, sit on my lap, or go anywhere near anyone. He does cuddle next to me especially for tummy rubs.. he clearly suffered in his early kittenhood. He was about 7 mths old when i got him and im the only human he will come near, even after 7yrs
