MIT’s Moungi G. Bawendi wins Nobel Prize in Chemistry | MIT News

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology will host a virtual press conference with Prof. Moungi G. Bawendi and President Sally Kornbluth later this morning at 10:30 AM ET following the announcement earlier today that Bawendi was awarded one-third of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his work on “the discovery and synthesis of quantum dots.” Prior to Bawendi’s win this morning, 100 alumni, faculty, researchers and staff at MIT have won Nobel Prizes.
