a few years ago i was walking by a neighbor's house. they had two golden retrievers who would bark nonstop whenever anyone walked by. I was walking my australian shepherd who was a calm well behaved dog. the neighbor's son and his girlfriend were on the sidewalk with their golden retriever. the golden attacked my dog despite the fact that he was wearing a prong collar which did nothing to stop the attack. For those of you who may not know. a prong collar is a collar that has metal spikes that dig into the dog's neck when it pulls on the leash. unfortunately, it did nothing to stop the aggressive golden, which is in itself a surprise because goldens are typically calm nice friendly dogs. however, many people refuse to walk by that neighbor's house due to the barking golden retrievers.

Ironically, Labs and retrievers are also the breeds i had most aggressive run ins with, i think after the first time i got a bit nervous around them and now i think they maybe sense it so it happens more. Im not sure.
Of course i met lots of friendly ones too but i have seen their agressive side.

As i noticed… Owners, whose Goldie died, will get another goldie again.. i have pups whose buyers are a repeat goldie-owners.. these owners missed their deceased Goldie so they get another Goldie again.. and much more loved Goldie the second time around 😊😊😊
Couldn't disagree with any of the breeds on this list. Glad to see the Border Collie included as this was my 1st ever dog and I've never been without one since. To say they're loyal and loving would be an understatement. As a proud Irish man I was also glad to see the Irish setter make the list. They are a super friendly breed with stunning good looks.
