Larian is COOKING. Currently playing my first coop play-through as a half elf druid, buddy #1 dragonborn OOD Paladin, buddy #2 Drow warlock, buddy #3 gith barbarian. It's been a blast! We put probably 2 hours just in creating characters trying to get a good split/balance. None of us play/have played D&D but absolutely adore BG3.
Now, time to make this comment all big sad.
APEX Gaming PC's are pretty shady. A buddy of mine (despite offering to build him one), pulled the trigger on an AGPC last summer. 2 months of delays, bad customer service, runarounds, he gets his PC, and it looks nothing like it did in the ad's. Ended up having to RMA the thing for a bad stick of RAM, when the company thought it was the motherboard. Insisted on sending the entire rig back (I think he even had to pay shipping to send back). I knew it was a bad stick of RAM (ran memtest86), so offered to replace, but the company said he'd void his warranty if doing so. He sends it in, another month passes, they swap it out the RAM with slower ram (3600mhz CL16 originally down to CL18 3200mhz). All in all, he's had a terrible experience, got a rig that looked nothing like what was advertised, waited 3 months altogether to get a functional rig, and extremely overpaid for 4 year old specs. Get your bag Matty, I will never fault anyone for that. Just bringing this to light.
I'd rather pay full AAA game price for BG3 DLCs than half-price for most AAA games out there.
This game was amazing but no value in the deluxe version i got because of of no DLC
BioWare response: DA: Failguard will not have any DLC
What I'm wondering is when do we actually get this?
2027: Larian releases "final" patch for Baldurs Gate 3.
This patch adds VR support, deluxe cupholder, romancable shovel companion, as well as the entirety of baldurs gate 4 into the game.
Halfway through a second evil playthrough after giving it a six months break. Love this game. I will for sure play again with the new update once release.
Truly a gold star for how games should be handled and updated.
I think I'd go as far to say I think this is the best game that's come out in the past 5 years, even better than elden ring and that's saying a lot coming from a souls fan like me. I was actually shocked with my durge play through as well just how different it was, spoiler:
I didn't even know I could speak to minthara in my first playhhrough let alone recruit or romance her. Then that poor poor bard in act 1 was a wake up to what to expect from the durge
Mod support on console is all I needed to learn to actually play the game. I’m not used to turn based stuff, so whatever boosts mods give me will be very welcome. This is a game I want to love but I just can’t get into it. Make it to the fight for the grove and get my teeth kicked in
That game is old and we have backlogs you’re fucking high If you think I’m gonna go back to that game for any type of DLC or update whatsoever.
Dear MrMatty; you have consistently given some of the smartest game reviews and commentaries on the games I care about. I've been glad to subscribe and like and toss you my virtual pennies for excellent content. I didn't know, somehow, until today, that you did breaking game news as well. I'm not sure that convinces me to get another subscription, but it def makes it more intriguing I will say I think you're one of the best game journalists working today.
Bard : End yourself .
Enemy: Huh
Bard : NOW… FALL 😈
I just tried Balders gate 3 a couple days ago. It might literally be the worst game I've ever played. It's insane to me that so many people love it. Feels like a game designed over 20 years ago. Maybe the game just isn't for me, but I don't get the combat , I don't get the weird level of horny in the game, I don't get the dice rolls, I don't like the controls. Just a truly terrible game.
Hey Matty, longtime fan of your work! It’d be great if you could analyze in a future video how devs relying on buggy, broken engines impacts the quality of AAA games. Noticed CD Projekt Red switched to Unreal Engine 5 for the next Witcher, but Bethesda’s still sticking with their broken engine. Game devs should be focused on crafting amazing experiences, not debugging crappy engines. Though, for BG3 the divinity engine gets the job done for sure!
Imagine a fallout game using bg3 engine. No one would be interested in any fallout games from Bethesda anymore
One day I will get this game. Retired combat veteran can’t work much. So I play a lot.
Bladesinger Wizard and Paladin multi class is gonna go hard
I loved my swords bard build very good backup attacker for your ranged companion
Welcome to the NOW. Our Unelected Administration just legalized using whichever is closest and has a free space at least in ALL Federal funded buildings (ie libraries, schools/universities, courts, etc) and likely city, state to follow suit so expect either gender present when you enter. Corps will follow once normalized and likely just remove standing urinals altogether bc its easier than replacing two stalls in the former lady's only room.
The real Game of The Year
Well, what do you know the game still trash?
"unthinkable" u mean added more content lmao stop glazing this bs lookin game bro
liberals defending the game but wont defend having sx in front of their family
Larian working on the Fallout IP (a transposition of the first age of this great IP in an old cRPG style – modernized à la Larian) : check.
Larian working on the Arcanum IP (bring back Troïka Games ex-Black Isles way of developping) : check.
Larian Indie Declaration: "Of the gamers, by the gamers, for the gamers."
Bought it for full price on both PC and PS5 and I'd pay full price again for my Xbox too.
I haven't bought this any copies of a game since Skyrim.
Beastiality ? 🤔
👀
It'd be too much to bear for Todd to let a competent studio work on their IP. New Vegas still haunts them to this day.
Dude, anyone that still takes this channel seriously –
has all of the agency that's readily found inside of a bottle of opiates.
Shillharder, bro
With these awesome mods on console, I tried turning my team into an 1980s style fantasy role playing game when it comes to their looks with hair and makeup. The look on Atarion is hilarious 😂 lol. I wish I could share clips but my YouTube channel content is mostly about diecast.
Let Larian cook with Kotor 1&2 remasters. 🙌😍
Druids are solid for an entire playthrough, My first character was a druid in tactician mode, he was solid
I still wish BG3 was a real time action RPG rather than turn-based. As a 34 year old, who never really played D&D, the game is way too complex to enjoy and I just don't have the time to sit and learn.
