Introduction and specs

The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion comes just in time – a year after its predecessor, the Edge 50 Fusion. The newer version arrives in the same slick design, but with a handful of upgrades on top.

The chassis now boasts higher IP69 ingress protection and complies with the MIL-STD-810H standard for durability. Motorola has also added a nicer LTPO OLED panel with Gorilla Glass 7i, a larger battery, more storage, a newly added microSD slot, and a new chipset – all without raising the price.

The Edge 60 Fusion brings modest improvements over its predecessor, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be competitive. In fact, the Edge 50 Fusion from last year fared pretty well against its rivals, so we expect the same from the upgraded version.

The new Dimensity 7300 chipset (Dimensity 7400 in India) may not seem like a large step up over the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 from last year – it has higher CPU clock speeds and a tad more potent GPU and ISP.

But let’s not judge solely on specs. We will take a deeper dive into Motorola’s budget solution from the Edge 60 series this year.

Unboxing the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion

The handset arrives in a modest looking retail box with only a USB-C to USB-C cable for charging and data transfer. There’s no charger included, so you’d have to buy one separately.

However, inside the box is scented with one of Motorola’s fragrances, making the unboxing experience more special.

The phone supports 68W fast charging with a compatible Power Delivery charger, but it’s not included. You can buyd a third-party one or get one from Motorola if you want to ensure you’d be getting the highest possible charging speed.
