!. I have a copy of the Big Box version of the Dwarves and I like it. More cards, more things to do, more minis, and the enemies are now wooden meeples.
2. I get where you are coming from with Monopoly – for such an expensive game (editions of Monopoly tend to retail for about £30 here in the UK), the component quality is poor.

The Campaign for North Africa: Desert War is so complex that when we were in high school we took three months to complete it. And he mentioned the game Talisman which never ended and was poorly created. When we played it, we would pick the person who wasn't a complete dick during the game was awarded the winner.
OMG – monopoly…. has to be a joke surely. I am the same Tom, absolute love hate relationship with Monopoly and various variants and even similar games (in a way) like Careers and Poleconomy (the latter I still like prob coz it has my version is Australian feel with old 80's iconic companies, most if not nearly all no longer exist here). There short Negative (and Positive) reviews are awesome Tom, please keep providing them, sometimes I will see a game never really heard of but you might have covered on this type of video, and it is the only way I really find out much about it (that's a big compliment by the way in how you explain why its not good in your opinion) and helps me make a more informed decision. YES there will always be games you dislike and others like, that is just all part of what makes up human nature. Some like red, some like blue, some prefer dark others prefer light, but that is how the world runs. I really dislike Cartographers even though everyone else seems to love it, but yet I like listening to their views them vice a versa to me, different perspectives and negative reviews have a great place for us to make, as I said above, more informed decisions, please keep these coming.

Sherlock is such a great game, but should only be played with 3-4 players.
And dwarves: i dont know anything about the game but of you Roll Dice so many Times, that will balance the Luck pretty much, even more than if you roll very few times.

I rather play monopoly (original one) than Talisman. Oh my god Talisman is such a bad game and the fact the someone release a similar game in 2020 is beyond comprehension. Im with Tom at 100% on this, the guy behind Dead Throne is a fan of Talisman who think he knows about board game, its kinda sad.

@5:07 I could seriously not disagree more. I think the graphic design on this game is beyond amazing. Love it. (Unless you didn't mean the artwork by graphic design) And I had a lot of fun playing this as a lighter arena battle game. Gorechosen is better, but it was fun.

I agree all the Sherlock series games are too random. As a gamer, I don't like them very much. But my non-gamer wife and daughter enjoy them. I would definitively never play them solo, because what's interesting about the game is building a plot together. And since it's so small, it's great to take it on a trip.
That said, I think this is the least interesting story in the series.
I prefer my daughter's 'Junior monopoly' – it's won in 30mins…
