I don't get why people keep saying that Connor is more implied to revenge than justice.

If Connor was really out for revenge for what happened to his village than he could've killed George Washington because he was the one responsable for the burning, not the templars. He even confesses and it's menitoned in his data base entry.
Forget about british, see them as templars, you must give it a try, the game's amazing in my opinion.
