I feel like with more work this game could have been a masterpiece. It would take a lot of change, but for example, all that exposition was unnecessary and really kind of nonsensical being that how is it a cat can understand all this. They could have had the environment explain the story, and just leave the cat to trying to get back home. Needed more planning in the early stages.
I was disappointed after all that you never got to see the cat reunite with his friends. It was implied but I would have liked to see it.
These were some fair criticisms and I agree with you. I love this game for two aspects – cat and immersion. It was fascinating to see how they made a cat game work like they did. But yeah, the points you mention at the second half of the video are fair. I liked interacting with the robots and building little connections and exploring was pretty fun.

Honestly, while I do appreciate the visuals, the design choices here just seem baffling. It’s one of those games that would catch my eye in a Steam sale but I’d have this weird gut feeling , and halfway through it I’d realize why it’s not as fun as it looks.
