Sonic 2:Sonic makes an inflateable sonic fart. Then he says Ugh. I knew I should have used real farts. Also there’s only one badnik from the games. Sonic calls James Marsden dad at the end of the movie and The Echidna Tribe are barbarianlike instead of the peaceful people they should be.

I don’t see anything wrong with the movie having a few music numbers. Honestly I think a musical would be really fitting for a Mario movie, it matches perfectly with the happy go lucky up-beat energy of the Mario universe. Plus it’s not like a full blown musical, they keep it short and sweet, and most of the cast are talented singers.
I don’t want a live action Mario.. it just doesn’t work man… a live action Zelda movie would be amazing but Mario is just not meant to be realistic in my opinion.
I don't care about the clothes thing as much as you do, a bit cliché but ok, unless there is some line about "These are the colors that it is foretold the heroes of this land will wear" or something stupid like that. My main concern is this feels a bit unfocused but it is a brief description so maybe it's not that bad. I don't really need there to be songs, but I guess it's an animated movie so we gotta have them. (hope they're not forced and out of place)

the truest Mario fans are obsessed enough with the characters to love what ever we get. We even have a warm place in our hearts for the live action film.
The plot of the movie should revolve around Mario and Luigi and the relationship they have as brothers. That should be the driving force of the movie… the theme and the plot. If that was the case then the movie would be more grounded. People would also be more forgiving of the cgi and tech used if the theme, plot and character development are solid.Think of the original TMNT movie from 1990. That movie had a low budget and they had limited technology available to use. They made up for all that with an amazing script about 4 brothers and their father. The other characters support this theme and plot as well. TMNT 1990 is still one of the most beloved and iconic comic book movies of all time for a reason.

I have a feeling it could be lame. Like, I can imagine it with NO actual dialogue except "YAHOO!" and "AH HA!" and it's like a lame ass silent movie with everyone acting goofy and Nintendo playing it safe because GOD FORBID the Mario world becomes SOMEWHAT interesting!! MEANWHILE, we're already heading towards a third awesome SONIC MOVIE!!!!
