This game is terrible, but we have to admit that the devs put a lot of work into it. But games are not all about graphs and length,they are also about gameplay. But i wonder why you say this game requires thinking… What thinking?! We cannot even run away from the enemies or even back stab them effectively…Are you sure you ve played all the game??? Because from what you say, it seems like you haven't!!!😅 You also say it reminded you resident evil… Firstly, in resident evil you can avoid some enemies. Here, you have to eliminate everything.

THe problem with the combat is the entire game can be beat without firing a weapon unless you are fighting the mini bosses and last boss….. all of which were way too fucking easy. The combat had the depth of a mobile game lol……..left stick, right stick, left stick… press R 3 times……..lol what a fucking joke, no timing, no skill and sometimes the dodge just decides to not dodge even though the animation plays, oh was there more than 1 enemy better just use kinesis and shoot him off the map or on spikes lol. The entire game was a cake walk with no depth………. good lord I cannot believe you think people are complaining about it being hard lol. It's a terrible game unlike elden ring or dead space 1.

This…. Was a more promising review than all these heartbroken essay reviews Im seeing. As far as the combat is concerned; Im sure it will ve fleshed out more and refined with the DLC. I personally dont feel like it is a 70 dollar game. But I appreciate that they have tried something unique for the combat. When I heard it was more like a boxing game, I was intrigued. But when I heard it was just holding a direction to get the dodge instead of having good timing; that deflated my enthusiasm.
Calling this Studio a “first time” studio and holding them to that standard is incorrect, this is the exact same time that worked on Dead Space, a beloved and Acclaimed Horror game

I agree. Been playing it and I don't see an issue. It's challenging and fun. My only gripe is that its only one position when aiming down sights, I can't switch sides. That should he standard in shooting.

This isnt really a survival horror game. Im also enjoying it okay but its not the "ultimate survival horror experience" or however you described it. Its a converyor belt of pretty hallways with a frustratingly janky combat system.. There is not a single puzzle, there is no real inventory managment (as far as running out of ammo, money or healing items). The over all feelings isnt survival horror, its swing swing move left analogue stick to eaither side for dodge, and just then repeat that for basicallly the whole game lol. All that being said… im still having some fun on the ps5.

Played this game day 1 and simply loved it. The story is pretty decent. I found the atmosphere, music, setting and enemies to be really good. Then i went on youtube to watch reviews. Me thinking i would hear good news. Unfortunately i hear bad news. I’m sitting there thinking am I playing a different game? Why is it getting so much hate? Why are people saying it’s bad when it’s actually good? Then i stopped caring bc i thought hmm they may not like it, but i do. Why i should let what someone else says ruin my experience with the game. I’m enjoying the game other people are too. I think people are just mad bc people are entitled and can’t just enjoy anything anymore without acting like spoiled children. If a game isn’t fit or tailored to just the way they like it. All of a sudden you have a good game, but bc of that its bad now. That’s why i play what i want and don’t worry about what anyone says. At the end of the day it’s your personal enjoyment and experience and not theirs.

graphics suck ass still, everything renders poorly. combat system is fucking appaling. and enemys have fucking plot armor.
All of the hate is coming from the PC side, where poor optimization and near constant stuttering has made the game unplayable for some.
I'm playing on the Series X, and the game has run flawlessly(I just finished the game). During my entire playthrough, I didn't experience a single bug or crash; which is phenomenal given today's buggy releases.
This game (while not at all scary imo), is horror perfection. With the atmosphere and moment-to-moment gameplay always suspenseful and intense, even with fully upgraded weapons; there's never a time where you're not on edge.
I'm already about to start my second playthrough 😁.

The problem I have with this game is simple. I bought an Sci-Fi Horror Game and I get an Action Melee Simulation instead, in no way in hell this was an Horror Game, because of that, I feel I get betrayed by the devs of the game, and with this fact I doubt anybody will be able to change my opinion, because I bet you and me did not get scarry even one time.
I also been playing it on the Xbox series S and it definitely has been a great time. The combat is very solid and fun but could use a tune up so you can manage crowd control a little better even though it wasn't really a issue with me. Enemies are aggressive af and I love the challenge of getting out of a harrowing situation and coming out with without taking too much dmg. The visuals and animations are simply fantastic. Some flaws do kinda hold it back like weird save checkpoints, the camera can screw with you sometimes especially if you have your back to a wall or corner when fighting enemies & it's not exactly scary imo. A great Action Horror game but I wouldn't call it survival horror which I think alot of people wanted.
Lol, this game was 100% "on rails". The combat was basically a string of quick time events. I beat the game fairly easily but didn't have fun in any of the fights. Dodge, dodge, hit. Dodge, dodge, hit. Any deviation from that was instant death. Not fun or exciting.

To all the critics bashing the game, I just have one thing to ask, what else did you expect? You were all going crazy when the trailers and gameplay was revealed. The game infact is everything they showed us in the trailers. We knew the scale. I knew it was just a game based on tight gritty corridors, extreme violence, yeah I get it, people who might have wanted a little competitiveness or more layers to combat can subject the game to criticism but the game is nowhere near bad. It is all I expected. I love it. I'm a huge admirer of good graphics and I observe graphics ( shadow maps, ray tracing, textures, lightning, visual effects, animation) in great detail, and this game exceed my expectations. This is quite impressive, not on par with the Matrix Awakens demo but definitely very close. The level of realism is insane!
But quit whining you all! I seriously don't get why the hard critism. For me it was all I expected. Maybe the price tag is not justified as a 10 hour linear experience should no more than 50-60. But this goes for all games going for a linear campaign of 10. God of War, forbidden west, red dead, COD are games with a still non justifiable $70 price tag but still meh.

Well said 👏 👌 I've played a few hours of this ge and I'm loving it. I think the only reason people are hating on ot is cos its a linear game and that's it, plus the difficulty aspect to. That's why I'm playing it on easy. The gaming industry now are set on open world games so a game like this is like going into the past and everyone just needs to get over that, I like linear 12 hour games cos I don't have the time to play massive open world games. I just finished assassins creed origins last year and haven't even got quarter of the way through odyssey and only played about an hour of valhalla 🤣😂 and next year mirage is out, I've got no chance of finishing them all. Bring back the 12 hour linear game 🤘🤘
