Yeah, co far one cat is kinda alarmed and sometimes runs after it, the other doesn't care. Not to mention the movements of this thing, it moves in such a boring way, no wonder my cats don't want to play with it. Waste of money.

Does it do well on carpeted floors?
I bought this for my totally deaf cat and he likes it because he can see the tail that lights up. I glued a feather on the tail and it drags the feather. Lucas can’t hear but he can see and chase. My other 2 cats like it to an extent
Great review, was really interested in this product but had the same concern you highlighted, that it wouldn't act interestingly. It needs some kind of way to see the cat and run away or hide.
