The offspring has engineer dna bc the specimen used for the syrum came out of the space jockey in Alien. Rook tells us that in Romulus. The Romulus mission was to locate that specific Xenomorph.

Sick of xenonorph monster movies. Engineers are infinitely more interesting at this point. Give us movies on the Engineer origins and interstellar activity, and same with the Yautja.
If the black goo was the precursor for both engineers and xenomorphs then how could the xenos predate the engineers in order for the engineers to create the black goo from a xenomorph like life form or xenomorph? It’s not like the xenos would’ve been manipulating the goo to create a new life form. And if the engineers exited first, how did they create a xeno without the black goo? Unless you are suggesting that xenomorphs or similar are naturally occurring at least somewhere in the universe, which to be fair is what I would prefer to be true, but it’s not what the series has been going towards and the next alien movie will be very definitive in this regard I feel. It will either fully embrace the bioweapon angle or dismiss it.
