How do i get the cat to go out of my room instead of staying inside my room?
Watched this dude as a kid, when I could have no cat because my mom was allergic.
now I'm an adult, with a partner with a cat.
So I'm here because he won't let me sleep LOL
what if you ignore them and they brake things, hasn't happened to me but pushing things off a desk is how my mom's cats used to wake her family up when she was younger I'm afraid these cats might start if we ignore them
The ignore part is easily the hardest, especially when they purposely make noise to get your attention
In my (admittedly, very biased) opinion…Angela shouldn’t have ever even given birth to Megan, if she couldn’t commit to being a proper mother to her.
Megan shouldn’t have given birth to Evelyn either, she could have saved that poor baby the stress and tragedy of such a short life, and prevented all this hurt.
Hopefully, Megan doesn’t get out of jail while she’s still able to reproduce. Some people don’t deserve children. So many people would have loved Evelyn like she was their own.
I go to sleep at 20:30, cat eat at about 20:00 (and play before it),because my spouse goes to sleep later. They fall asleep the same time with me, but get up at about 12 pm and one of them start to meow hysterically. I would like to try to ignore him, but I'm terrified of what our neighbours would do if they hear everything, they can theoretically get us kicked out of the apartment 😢 Don't really know what to do 😔

Serious question—how do I ignore my cat when he’s biting my feet HARD at night. There’s no way I can’t react to that. I’m doing everything else, but he won’t stop biting my feet the second he sees them moving under my covers.
With all the meowing, chirping, throwing my glasses and stuff on the floor, and jumping on the doorknobs it's gonna be super tough to ignore him but I'll do my best lol 😂

I know this post is 10 years old but we are currently doing this with our cat. PROBLEM: WHEN HE IS IGNORED HE POOPS ON HIS CAT TREE AND UNDER THE DINING TABLE 😢😢😢
My cat literally will try everything to get me up! Biting my ears my fingers, now nibbles my thighs under the blankets. Kawabunga my head! Scratching at everything! Opening draws, ripping my plants up! The most hideous, was taking a poop on my pillow! Wtf. 😢
I work all day! All my cat does from about 10a-4p is sleep. So then I come home at 530 and expect him to sleep again from 10-6? I can’t play with him enough to make him that tired! Lol but I don’t care what he does during the night. My home is his. But I cannot keep getting up every 30 mins to let him in/out. The only time he isn’t meowing is when I sit outside with him! (Which ain’t gonna happen at 2am!)

I did what you advised. It ended up ending the relationship between my cat Willow, and his son,TicTac. Turns out TicTac has anxiety relating to food. I could not believe the all-out attack that TicTac launched at his father. This was a total knock-out, end all frenzied blitz attack. Fortunately I was there. I picked up their rather large water dish and dumped the contents onto TicTac. This habende twice. Not, three years on we have had to keep these two cats totally separate. Willow is I very gentle and does not fight back. TicTac is very affectionate with me but now sees his father as a fatal competitor.
I did all these, nothing helped, my cat would just meow all night, we lost like 5 nights sleep
Does this also apply to kittens? The food schedule?
My cat wakes me up by "playing" with my hair. It hurts and it's hard to ignore. If I close the bedroom door he meows for ages. Anyone else dealing with this ?

In order to train my kitten to sleep at night, I bought a Large foldable playpen off Amazon to put her in at night when I go to bed. I put a separate litter box in it so it's different from her daytime one, I put her bed, and some water and a bit of dry food. This way she learns that night time is for sleeping 🙂

Well, I was a VERY successful pet trainer – up to now! I met my challenge and I am not winning – yet!I just watched the video „how to get my cat to let me sleep“. I have one cat who lets us do that: peaceful, quiet, adjusted, night friendly 3 y/o female Tabby.
But then there is: adorable, 8 month old, pitchblack , male Felix. At 3:45 am his night is over!
I will go the route of last pm feeding hour and ignoring his morning call. Will let you know how it goes.

Watched this in preparation of getting my new cat a few years back. He's still on his meal schedule that was started from day 1, and NEVER does he wake me up. I have him trained to eat at a dinner bell sound, which decreases begging. Also , my morning alarm is his breakfast alarm, so if I change that to, say, 9am instead of the normal 7:45, I get ZIP from him! He's a good boy, but it's also DEFINITELY a result from this video!! Thanks for helping me give my cat structure and assurance in his day-to-day life <3
