Orbbec, Connect Tech to provide support for Gemini stereo depth camera

Orbbec’s Gemini 335Lg stereo vision 3D camera can be used in autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and robotic arms.

Orbbec Inc., a robotics and AI vision provider, and Connect Tech Inc., an expert in embedded and edge AI computing, have partnered to provide built-in support for the Gemini 335Lg. This is the GMSL/FAKRA version of the Gemini 335L stereo depth camera.

The Connect Tech Anvil Embedded System and Anvil-RX Rugged System, powered by NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin, now provide native support for Orbbec’s Gemini 335Lg. The companies said this enables high‑performance stereo‑vision systems in robotics, autonomous machines, industrial automation, and smart‑agriculture applications.

The companies said they joined forces to deliver trusted hardware along with essential camera and sensor software. This helps to significantly reduce overall application development time, they claim.

Orbbec recently unveiled the Gemini 435Le, the latest addition to its stereo vision lineup. The Troy, Mich.-based company said it delivers substantial enhancements for industrial applications and offers leading depth-sensing performance.

Founded in 2013, Orbbec is a leading provider of robotics and artificial intelligence vision, offering products that it said deliver performance and value spanning structured light, stereo vision, time-of-flight (ToF), and lidar technologies. Orbbec and Connect Tech said the collaboration not only increases the variety of compute platforms to utilize with the Gemini G335Lg, but also broadens the sensor selection options for Connect Tech’s Anvil Embedded System for:
