The electric vehicle (EV) market in the United States is on track to generate $96 billion in revenue in 2025, with an expected annual growth rate (CAGR) of 12.61% through 2029, according to Statista.

As the sector accelerates, automakers are ramping up their portfolios to compete in an increasingly crowded space.

Demand for the recently restyled Model Y, launched in January, has shown signs of weakness amid fierce competition.

EVs accounted for around 8% of total U.S. passenger vehicle sales in 2024 and are expected to reach 10% this year. Back in 2015, they represented only 1% of total sales.
