TRON 1 robot extends its reach with a new optional arm

Exhibiting at the International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA) in Atlanta this week, LimX is targeting the biped at research applications. Founded in 2005, the Shenzhen, China-based company said it is developing “general-purpose robotics” and working toward artificial general intelligence (AGI).

LimX Dynamics recently earned recognition with the 2025 RBR50 Robotics Innovation Award for the multi-model locomotion design of its platform.

Rainbow Robotics unveils omnidirectional wheels, development kit for its dual-arm robot

Rainbow Robotics, a Korean robotics developer that spun out of the Humanoid Robot Research Center of KAIST, unveiled two new features for its RB-Y1 system at ICRA 2025 this week. RB-Y1 is a semi-humanoid robot that features a torso and two arms with a new mecanum wheel option for the wheeled base.

The RB-Y1 features two arms with seven degrees of freedom (DoF) each, a 6-DoF single leg, and a wheel-based mobile platform. Designed to support a wide range of development environments, the robot provides open application programming interfaces (APIs) and modular options.

Ambi Robotics sells out AmbiStack for 2025 [Automated warehouse]

Ambi Robotics Inc., a developer of robotic sorting and stacking systems, last week said it has sold out of its latest product, AmbiStack, for 2025. The company said this was due to strong demand from Fortune 500 shipping and logistics customers.

This news comes just a few months after Ambi introduced AmbiStack. The Berkeley, Calif.-based company said that since introducing the sorting and stacking system, it has seen significant interest from leading logistics companies.
