Someone has been reading SCP Foundation stories. This one was re-writing itself as it went, which isn't all that out of place for an SCP memetic horror. Actually, the idea of AI reading all of the SCP Foundation stories, and extrapolating from them IS a memetic horror of sorts. The infection is spreading. *tries to remember where she put the brain bleach*
That was FUN!
Love it❤
Without a doubt, this is the antithesis of hitchhikers to the universe! Well, the best part is that it was all rated G
Loved it! Would love to see a follow on where some remnant of “Who’s there?” echoing in his brain helping him in times of extreme stress.
I’m seriously looking forward to the next iteration! 🙌🔥 Can’t wait to see how it evolves—this is just getting started! 🚀✨ The potential is off the charts! 💯
Intresting. Innovative. With potential. AI / Speaking fair. Overall RB/IA Rating = 87/100 🙂
CODA- Rex "sells" his investment to the evolving Entity itself ! When the Entity realize what has happened, it begins trembling and goes catatonic. Once outside the facility, he finds the corporeal remains of an alien clutching in its' lower pair of arms, a sturdy metal box. In one of the creature's upper hands is the safety pin of a mil issue heavy pladma grenade. He notices that the metal box is bashed up a bit, but still intact! Prying open the metal box he finds a complete set of facility blueprints and Top Secret Command Codes. Then, there is what seems to be a key in the shape of a skull. An idea forms in his head. The blueprint shows a path outside the building to an oddly out-of-place, still fluorishing but aging DRAGON-FRUIT TREE ! One of th Tree's Fruit Pods seems younger and more brightly coloured/fresh. Smiling, he cuts the fresh pod from the Tree with his KA-BAR. As sparks erupt, and the KA-BAR'S blade melts off, all residual tremblings from thd Entity/Structure behind him trembles a F'rendikl one last time before Queefing a Cognitive Brain Biscuit. ILEX pipes up, "I think you found the self destruct!" A small part of the Entity however is now covertly integrated into ILEX, who says one last Thing, "There is a section of Galactic code stating that civilians can apply for a Coalition Grant to clean up abandoned, decommissioned contaminated militsry sites!" Rex smiles. .. .. A year later, he finds himself by the pool in a comfy lounge chair sipping a Prodaxing Sunset as he is warmed by the twin setting Suns. Imported Xilaxian Fireflies are pulsing blue-green in his Xeno-Garden. ILEX-AS-BARTENDER has made his drink pretty potent. Potent enough that he fails to notice the one particularly angular firefly flitting around the Garden's sensor and comm arrays. .. .. ..
What fun!! LOL 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Big grin on my face.
Even with its flaws, it beats the dogie poo out of all the alien princess/queen/slave romance lets do the mattress mambo five minutes after meeting stories. Nothing like buying an alien research facility on the cheap and then finding out why it was so cheap.
I'm looking forward to future reiteration!!
A Different kind of Story
❤❤❤
8:28, Rex was running low on ammo, by the shot count to that point, he had fired 4 times, maybe 5. He hadn't even emptied a mag yet, hadn't used any other mags, which, as a soldier, he would have had several. The author forgets what he has already written, this will be fun to shred. There are way too many, "the AI hesitated, that is never good" repetitions, that is never good. Destabilizing structures typically don't explode, they collapse. A little help here, what exploded….the author doesn't know either. This story was much like the research center, crumbling, never quite being stable, the end was an easy way out, yet merciful to the listener.
