How Dogs Apologize to Their Humans?

This is BS. my dog will go upstairs and shit, and I won't have any clue because I'm watching a movie or helping with kids homework etc. She will come downstairs and immediately act guilty. That's how I even know to look for the poop. She literally tells on herself.

Dogs dont apologize. They just act confused when people are angry

My brother's dog had some kind of stomach deal… I was at his house and got up early in the morning and he discovered she puked and pooped in her room… she was literally shaking when she knew he was finding it… she then followed me back downstairs and attempted to hide… I felt so bad for her

my bigger dog once snapped at my little dog (however my little dog always started it lol) anyways, she snapped at him and they were growling and i yelled at her, pretty bad. and she immediately put her head down and walked in to my chest like she felt bad or was ashamed. it was so cute and i felt so bad screaming at her so harshly. she just passed away a few months ago from a brain tumor and i miss her so much.

I love my dog. She goes nearly everywhere with me. She sleeps on my bed. Ashe is better than any therapist when I’m stressed or sad. But my mother has no grand dogs. She isn’t my child. She’s a dog, and a damned good one. I love her as a dog, not a dog shaped person.

One of my dogs always looks very meek and ashamed if he pukes on the floor. He’ll go and hide behind the settee with his head bowed. I’ve never, ever scolded or got angry with him for being sick — it’s not his fault and I’m just concerned that he’s okay — and I always go straight over to console him and let him know it’s okay. Yet he reacts the same every time? 🤷‍♀️

(I should add that he’s doesn’t chuck up very often, and when he does it’s usually cause he’s scoffed his food down too quickly or eaten something gross outside. Also his shame/embarrassment never lasts very long; maybe a minute or two and then he’s back to his usual rambunctious self!)

When I do something wrong, my dog knocks over my speakers or will jump on the couch and start digging into it.
I try to say sorry with big human baby eyes.

I HAVE A 4 YEAR OLD SIBERIAN HUSKY, HE IS AGGRESSIVELY DOMINANT DUE TO MY EXES SPOILING HIM AND BEING HIS EXAMPLE TO FOLLOW AS WELL AS HIS OPPOSITIONAL, APATHETIC, ABUSIVE, SELFISH, DECEPTIVE DEFIANCE. I ONCE LEFT MY DOG AFTER BRINGING HIM OUT 3 TO 4 TIMES OUTSIDE TO WALK TO GO POTTY. MY DOG REFUSED BEING TOLD WHAT AND WHERE TO GO, BE AND DO. AS WELL AS THE FACTS MY EX ALWAYS GAVE INTO TO HIM AND EITHER ABUSED OR REWARDED HIS BAD BEHAVIOR DEPENDING ON NOT WHAT HE DID BUT WHO HE DID IT TO. BUT MY DOG GOT TO THE POINT THAT HE WOULD INTENTIONALLY STARVE HIMSELF JUST TO GET WHAT HE WANTS MEAT, HUMAN FOOD. AS WELL AS INTENTIONALLY HOLDING IN HIS OWN POOP UNTIL HE IS BROUGHT OUT FOR A DRIVE TO GO WHERE HE WANTED TO GO. ANYWAYS THAT DAY HE ACTED UP REFUSED TO GO POTTY AND MISBEHAVED. SO WE LEFT TO GO TO THE STORE WITHOUT HIM. WE WERE ONLY GONE FOR ABOUT 20 MONUTES. WHEN WE GOT BACK WE WALKED INTO THE KITCHEN AND HE PEED AND POOPED EVERYWHERE OUT OF PETTY, SPITE, CONTROL, ETC. SO I WENT TO APPROACH HIM TO GRAB HIM TO PUT HIM OUTSIDE ON A TIME OUT. HE FIRST FAKED YELPING WAY BEFORE I EVEN APPROACHED AND TOUCHED HIM. THEREFORE MY EX THOUGHT THAT I WAS ASSAULTING, ABYSING MY DOG. HE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT HE WAS DOING. HE EVENTUALLY GOT CAUGHT WITH DOING THAT AND WAS SEVERELY PUNISHED. BUT I EVENTUALLY BROUGHT HIM OUTSIDE AFTER THAT FAKE INCIDENT FOR A TIME OUT. HE MY DOG KEPT WHINING, WHIMPERING, YELPING, CRYING AND I SWEAR HE ACTUALLY KEPT SAYING NONSTOP " I AM SORRY, I AM SORRY!". SO YES, SOME DOGS ACTUALLY DO KNOW, RIGHT FROM WRONG, GOOD FROM BAD, ETC. AND KNEW ENOUGH THAT ALL BY HIMSELF HE KEPT SAYING, "I AM SORRY!" BUT HE STILL PERSISTED WITH HIS DEVIOUS, DEFIANT, DECEPTIVE, DEPLORABLE, DEPLOYABLE, METHODICALLY APATHETIC AND CONCIENTIOUS PLOYS, PLAYS, MANIPULATIONS TO GET, OBTAIN WHO, WHAT, HOW, WHEN AND WHERE HE STILL WANTS THANKS TO MY EX. If anyone did anything offensive to my mom dog, she'd pee on your room when you left, sometimes while you're in there

My dog for the first time snipped at me and cut my lip. I spanked her and I can tell in her eyes she had the "oh I Fd up…I really Fd up" she also gets really emberrased if she pees on the floor because she never does it. Granted shes a rescue and lived a hard life before so I know she is aware of right and wrong based on how she reacted.

I'm sure if you ask them how they know this they will give you a research paper that scientifically demonstrates that this is the case. Or maybe not.

Oh dear, I have seen revenge in my dogs. Ie my wife's dog beet up my boy dog when he was a puppy, but when he grew up to be a jovial he took his revenge on my wife's dog big time. After that we could not leave them together unsupervised.

I had two big dogs that weighed about 95 pounds apiece. One day they were out in the yard and I didn't notice that it had started to rain. When I realized it was raining I got a big towel and let them in, when I finished drying Louie I went to dry Rocco and he was gone. I found Rocco lying on their end of the couch and I could tell he was upset. Rocco was the alpha dog and I should have dried him first or atleast at the same time. I sat down on the other end of the couch and reached over with the towel and rubbed his back and he growled at me. I didn't get angry at him because I knew he would never bite me, but I said, "Did you just growl at me?" He got the funniest look on his face almost as if he'd just realized that he said it out loud. He got done of the couch, came around the coffee table, climbed up into my lap, and put his head on my shoulder. I didn't show any signs of anger because I knew it was my fault. I'll always believe he was trying to tell me he was sorry for growling at me.

I think they are mind readers …and in turn think we can read there minds and that's why he acts guilty when I don't have a clue …then when I discover there infraction I say without doubt they believe I give them loves and huggs and give them endless complements and point out how well they spread the garbage out ..most impressive ..

These types of videos are for people who want to pretend that their dog just doesn’t know shit that’s going on and everything they do is an accident. I’m here to tell you, them fucking animals be knowing exactly what the hell they do and they do experience guilt because all I have to ask my dog is “did you poop?” Or sometimes he’ll come down on his own tail tucked head down because he knows ima find out. These videos are for people who act like they can’t discipline their animals.

nah my dog literally knows if they have done something wrong and will really feel bad. i will show it when i come back even if i havent seen wat it did. it also knows its not supposed to go outside the gate even if it open and it doesnt have any training
