Goodness thank you for these tips, I'm moving from Mexico to Canada soon and I'm taking my girl with me and I'm so nervous!!
We are flying from Durban South Africa to Johannesburg SA then to Atlanta. Will my cat be okay?
I need to take my two kitties in cargo from the USA to Australia, please help with advice
Im gona fly this Monday 21 april with my 8 years cat best friend

I'm about to travel with my cat from Canada to belgium. Sleep on night in belgium and then take a 1h car ride + 1h30 boat ride to the uk …. which will be followed by another car or train ride. I have been trying to make my cat like it's carrier by putting treats in it and petting her when this happens and leave it in the living room so she knows it's safe. She is a very stressed cat and am anxious about taking the plane with her . She always runs to hide under the bed or in the closet when someone opens the front door and is startled easily. I have put on my amazon list a harness, portable litter box, pee pads and a protable food/water container. I plan to also bring creamys, wipes, ziplocs, garbage bag (in case poops throws up on towel), extra towel and blanket to cover carrier. I will try to train her to be in her harness as well. Idk if all this is enough, all the paperwork is sorted and i want to try training her to be in her harness for the next month inside and outside ( i leave in a little more than a month). Any advice, is this enough or too much she is almost 1 year old.
Hi Joe
I'm approaching this with military execution, I'm flying solo with two cats and working on getting them used to harnesses and I'm looking for the best cat carrier to fit under the seat ?
I seen a few two cat carriers with expandable balconies for room to stretch out in between flight but I'm hoping to find one on wheels too
You have any suggestions ?
Thank you! This was really helpful! I'm moving to Mexico from Maui with 2 cats, one of whom is particularly nervous, so i definitely need to prep well in advance!
Love ❤️ Love ❤️ Loved seeing you jam!😻🙀😺
There is so much mixed information. I'm confused and worried. I adopted a stray in South Korea and will be moving back to the States in two years, but I've been told the carrier size limit for international airlines are quite small. My cat isn't even that big, but according to those measurements, she'd have to go in cargo. I will do manifest cargo so that she is handled by a special staff member. When I moved with my last cat, it was just less than an hour away, but having her fav blanket really did help. And a play pen. One of the portable ones with a closed top. And make sure to have the litter box ready cause they will probably hold it until they feel safe enough and will need to run to it when you let them out.
Very timely having this pop up in my feed. I’m moving with my cat across country next week. Good to see I’ve been on the right track with getting her ready for the flight. Thank you, Jackson!
12:28 😂 I’m sorry but to conk my cats out sounds hilarious
I have a cat (three years old) and I'm planning on traveling with her soon. I currently live jn Pakistan and me and my family are moving to America, it's a 20+ hour flight and I have never internationally traveled before. I would love recommendations for carriers, vaccination and other things i might need.
I would love to see a follow-up video on international plane travel. Going to the UK requires cats to be in cargo, and if you're going to the EU and have a big cat (like 20 lbs and not overweight, not the other big cat, lol) most flights have an 8 kg weight limit with the carrier. Which doesn't make sense to me. I mean, it's not like being in the cargo hold is going to make them somehow less likely to catch, and spread, any illnesses. But, I am wondering, if they have to travel in cargo, what can you do for them?
Anyone looking for calming aids:
I've tried a few and the Pet Remedy spray worked wonders for my kitties and I ! My older kitty doesn't react much to calming meds (Calmeze makes him hyper lol) but he took brilliantly to Pet Remedy and worked really well for the stress of being in a new space as well. Highly highly recommend! It's an all natural homeopathic solution, which is also a major plus
What to do about a cat that goes full banshee (scratching and trying to run away) whenever she gets grabbed and manipulated? She's sweet generally but HATES being grabbed, so putting her into and out of a carrier at an airport seems crazy to me.
Im anxious about the flying with the collapsible kitty litter. How good have your cats been about using the box including letting you know they need it.
We are considering a move out of the country, and with two cats and a small dog… I’m terrified of how this might play out.
Thank you so much for the information.
Thank you so much for all the advice. You've definitely settled my nerves. Now to get my fur baby used to travel.
Thank you for this
hi, thanks for the video! Question! We will move in one month and a half. I saw another video that suggested placing the cat in their carrier and going outside gradually so the cat will be more familiar with the sounds sights and smells of the outside world. However, if I do that, I believe they will no longer be associating the carrier with something positive/their safe place… as they will be scared of going outside at first. What do you advise? Thanks!
