If monumental sighting of monumental proportions as Phoenix Lights been buried easy as it was, what the f we should expect from then on .. ?
Phoenix lights incident was one of the first UFO incident I read on early internet in early 2000s on one of those html websites. It basically was a very eye-opening read for a kid like me obsessed with astronomy then, to know we are not only just 'not alone' but also they are the advanced ones. It also sparked my never ending interest with extraterrestrials. Now I look back and wonder if the US government had then accepted the truth, probably the world would have been a much better place in a lot of ways.

I witnessed something almost exactly like the Lubbock Lights in the early 1980s, but it was in Putnam County, N.Y. There's no aliens visiting us. The Fermi paradox solution is climate change. It's impossible to advance technology without drastically altering a planets ecosystem. We still don't have a way to produce enough green energy for the entire planet. Solar and wind both aren't fully green when you add in maintenance and construction. Nuclear is too dangerous to use in third world countries and uses a finite resource. Geothermal and solar using mirrors or such could produce green energy but is limited to regions that support it. Hydroelectric is mostly green but I haven't looked into the construction and maintenance of them.
Then you have Kessler Syndrome which is pretty much inevitable to progress rocketry. We have hit the point of no return when it comes to this and a lot sooner than we should have thanks to the moron Musk. And we haven't even stepped foot on another planet yet.
And finally faster than light travel is not possible at all. People don't understand the speed of light is a stand in for the speed of causality itself. Warp drive won't ever work to get past the speed of light because it would require negative mass which doesn't exist outside of special quantum effects. Wormholes also require negative mass to stabilize them.
Yes it is possible to send a long-term probe out but communication with it would still have to be done at light speed.
And finally seeing something you can't explain doesn't mean or imply aliens. It means you don't know what it is and the explanation is probably something simple that would be obvious if there was a clear image or video of it. Like Bigfoot, the reason it's always blurry or hard to see pictures or videos is because if they were clear it would become obvious it's a bear. Bear territory and biggfoot like creatures around the world ALWAYS matches up perfectly.
Bonus round, people lie or misremember all the time. Each time we remember something the memory is of the last time we remembered it. Like a photocopy of a photocopy the details get worse and worse. Plus we remember what we thought was going on not what was actually going on.

The Phoenix lights were solved long ago. Not sure why people continue to say it's compelling or an object. They are flares, and those flares are accounted for by the AF base and their aircraft who deployed them.
