To me this felt simply like they couldn't make up their minds on what genre they wanted to cater to, so they just decided to make it a jack of all genres but none of them are any good. The worst bug I came up against was the game shooting my view from where I was to half way across the map, after doing that a dozen + times I uninstalled and now consider it hot stinky mess. They get one real release and it was thrown away. It's not like they had some really great ideas, they had mediocre ideas and tried to meld them altogether, it felt like they may have had multiple heads of development and they all wanted to make it their type of game without taking into consideration what Betty sitting at the desk next to them was creating.
It took no more than 20 minutes in the tutorial to have me dozing off at my desk and wondering what the hell is this, a bit of this, a bit of that, throw it all together and hope it mixes together.
IGN reviews have got so bad over the years wow.
it would be so cool to see IGN do a review of our story game. Developed by a small team of 8. kun'tewiktuk a mi'kmaw adventure. just dreaming here lol.
5:38 no you just have a skill issue lmao.
“Made me wish I perished in 1916” is a deeply tone-deaf thing to write. My God.
It's a waste of time, there, I said it.
They didn't get anything right, even the UI looks horrible (on top of not working half of the time).
ahaha the reviewer is such a cringefest..
This is perfect stepping stone for my wife the transition from sim city to civilization
IGN gets harshly critical of indies and veeeery tame on anything AAA, especially Ubisoft (which I bet brings lots of marketing revenue). Just check the Skull and Bones review: they said the game had many game breaking bugs and still managed to end the video on a positive note saying "the RPG mechanics (…) are as deep as the ocean" and they hope the game can be improved by "the waves of content already planned to come in an ambitious live service roadmap that is fast approaching" while ending in it was "a good start 7/10".
Holy shit dude, who taught you to speak that way? Unwatchable review
I don't think this guy ever made it to the end game stuff. He just says his saves are broken. IGN is IGN for a reason. I have no clue if this game is good or not. Just came for the IGN LULS. Reading the comments and didn't know that people watched these videos for a actual review. LOL
Ah, the couldn't pay you enough so your are honest for once. Maybe even a bit mad and extra mean. Nice.
I thought this just hit early access. Oof.
this dude is named leana? is that a typo?
Any IGN review is a total shit even before seeing it
on top of all the existing issues mentioned in the review, this game is FUGLY!
Man, Paradox should make one like this already. I'm pretty sure they can pull it off better, and a lot of their players and fans like me is already wanting one.
arent there bigger or better game reviews they could be using there resources on.

Hey bro are you back off the estrogen? Your voice almost sounds normal again!
Just like a Civilization game the devs have a great opportunity to release a large update and have a great game. TW: Pharaoh did it recently as well.
Man… I was excited all day to go home and buy this game. Thankfully I saw the review before hand.
This scenario is great! But why the f*** can't they just make a real good C&C- or AOE-style RTS? A bit like Iron Harvest!? Or even better a shooter with an exciting story like Wolfenstein? There is so much potential in this scenario… but no: developers thought, an Anno-like game would be good…🤦♂
What they absolutely missed is the HOI4 frontline pushing. Building an economy that just barely pushes frontline trough it's might is what they should have been aiming for. Arming few "units" and then having it all decided in a few turns isn't a reason to build an enormous war economy… its closer to AOE.
Shame – I was planning to buy this but I think I’ll give it a miss for now
Curb your swagger
oof, that's harsh
nose
Damn the game is still barebone should have released as EA. Well if they xould pull some crusader type shii idk if they can but if they can then we will expect more content in the future. I was expecting for combat to be RTS like even company of heroes 1, but nah its just your more armies means better over the map and that's just it. Game needs rework and more polishing. Like why play game like this when there's already good game like crusader kings 3, victoria or city building like anno and 1404 enough to flame their city builder mechanics.
It's a IGN review so, best check others to get an idea.
Sounds like this will be worth a purchase once they refine it a bit and flesh out some ideas and update it. Maybe in a few months.
I find the complaints about global industry and economy mechanics extremely ironic and funny. Welcome to the real world, dear leftie. I guess what you've tried to build was not a real communism yet again.
If they can patch this game and launch a huge update to fix the issues in the game, this could become an amazing series, esp if the sequels have an alternate world war 2 and cold war setting. The concept is there and if the Devs can refine it, Im confident this could be the next ANNO. We need more alternate history 4x city builder titles

I was looking forward to this release, now i am deflated. I was expecting it to be a good game, I also noticed the stuttering.
Thank you, I was eyeing it when I got the notification it launched, but I'll be giving this a pass for now.
Bummer, the concept is good, but they really should have pulled back on the scope and focued just on the city building.
IGN your reviews mean ab as much as a serial killer’s funeral. No one cares
Not cod 5/10

They gave it a 5
