Nice review, I haven't played the game yet but this gave me pretty much all of the information I need to know. I think I'll wait for a sale and then buy it just to not take the risk.
The game looks fantastic, and the gameplay looks fun, although a little repetitive… the thing is.. I watched all the reviews when it released. And none of the reviewers seem to play the game correctly.. they all just button mash in all fights.. then I have seen a few other random videos, where the heroes are firing off special moves left and right, particles flying everywhere, looks absolutely phenomenal… but when watching gameplay from all those reviewers, it looks quite boring… Because they play it wrong… you know what I mean?

I didn't like that it was just soooo repetative. Especially when just trying to unlock traversal abilities for each of the characters. and the world was just so damn empty. Not to mention the bat bike was slow and you are contantly having 2 min fights and then have to travel half way accross the map to reach the other premeditated crimes. Also, after just a few minutes you can pretty much anticipate almost all characters attacks and the only thing stopping you from decemating all enemies in an endless combo was the fact enemies constantly interupt you requiring you to dodge before completing your current combo on an enemy.

The only things I didn't fully like was the boss fights, a lil too much on the damage sponge side, the drone operators control drones but can also slip most if not every punch you throw at them at the same time, a lot of them fight just as good or better than people trained by Batman which didn't make sense to me and mod crafting looked difficult to understand and use, honestly I'm truly not 100% sure I'm crafting right. Plus the traversal is slow, batcycle is mid and the other ways of travel makes me feel like I'm not going far and takes too long to really enjoy any specific way of getting around.

The game is enjoyable the only thing I can't stand are the boss fights. They're damage sponges and drags on for a lot longer than it needs to. And even when I'm above the recommended level I still do very little damage and that's with the best gear equipped. It's to the point that I dread boss battles and am just rushing to get through it
What’s going on with the audio of the video?
You know what’s ironic about reviews for this game its criticized because the combat is similar for each character. Characters that were all trained by one guy. Get it? The critics certainly didn’t. But somehow they didn’t criticize The Arkham games for other characters having Batman’s play style.
I could go on but I won’t.
This game looks so crappy, yet still has my interest. If it becomes $12 on disc or digital I’ll probably buy it. So sad they made Gotham city dead/it’s on covid lockdown. Don’t get why it’s only 30fps and so cpu intensive
