I had a wonderful, calm and mellow applehead that would give anyone or any dog love if they earned it. He was beyond precious to me. I'm sorry to say that he passed away a couple of months ago on my birthday of all days. I will definitely be getting another applehead. Deer heads look weird to me and not really cute at all imho.

Very true I recently saved an apple head from my sisster she neglected him since birth and kept him in the basement with no water and food always pee everywhere I saw him and fold her I'd take him from her hands and she let me and told mentor take care of him whitch was stupid but anways he's very happy and try to give him love and a happy life but he does carry a lot of sickness since my sister smoked around him like crazy maybe thats why he's in bad shape but these edogs do carry dental and breathing problems I have a deer head and she's very happy social and energetic I love them both .
We had 2 chihuahuas. Our little 5 lb apple head just passed away 5 days ago. We think he was about 15 because he was an adult rescue. We had him for almost 6 years. We are grieving his loss. We still have our 7 year old deer head. He's a lean 12 lbs. His parents were both apple heads. He's an athletic little dog. He really loves his humans.
