I think moving the release to Feb2025. Is a double play. I think they are doing, like you said, they hope to generate some good will before then. But, I also think if the game fails, ubisoft intends to blame it on the release window instead of acknowledging their failures. I mean AC shadows is sandwiched right in between Kingdom come 2, monster hunter wilds and like 3 other major titles.

The developer wasn't named and referred to the company being full of toxic positivity. This clearly wasn't the company coming out and telling us they dont care. It's a whisleblower who is unhappy about the companys actions and is anonymously outting them.
Secretly outting the company is different than the company openly stating that they dont care about criticism.
It makes me sad that XDefiant isn’t doing great, but delays and the non-improving netcode understandably would make anyone angry.

Criticism is CRUCIAL to game development, if you don't accept where you went wrong, you will keep making bad decisions and bad games and you will continuously fail. Quadrupling down on your decisions and ignoring the loud voices of the majority gamers who have the time to play and critique your game is going to make you fail endlessly.

I been thinking lately that game companies forget that their “fans” are the ones that pay and play their games like how do they think where the money comes from? like are people egos really this big?!?!
I have problems against ACS and NONE of them involves identity politics. For instance….
(1)… Why is Yasuke constantly in armor in ALL the active gameplay?
(2)…. Glitches popping up across several scenes.
(3)….Yasuke shows no mercy to peasants FORCED under duress by bullies/ actual villains to fight Yasuke so it makes no sense for Yasuke to brutality kill such technically innocent characters in the game who he is supposed to be saving.
(4)…. How come none of the other samurai in the game have samurai armor of the same caliber as Yasuke (based on footage shown so far)?
(5)….Yasuke being a such massive samurai armor beating and defeating opponents who do NOT have any armor (bases on released footage) sells a visual interpretation that is opposite of the intent of his character whereby Yasuke looks like a villainous bully more than the actual villains on the story.
(6) …. Several blunders about Japanese culture.
As u can evidently see, NONE of my complaints has anything to do with IDENTITY POLITICS. I have NO PROBLEM playing as a black samurai in FICTION and actually look forward to that. Hopefully Ubisoft takes this chance to fix the gameplay and cultural authenticity issues.
