If you like pets with pushed in faces, be prepared to wash their faces regularly, expect breathing problems, and if they’re Persians they will need lots of brushing, regular baths, and be prepared to deal with early onset painful arthritis in their legs. If your Persian starts going just outside the litter box, don’t get mad. Take them to the vet for pain meds and other treatments, and cut the litter box entry down to floor level so your puff doesn’t have to raise their legs to step in. Another reason not to shop — so many artificial breeds have health problems from the inbreeding. I’m glad the right person adopted Floyd; he’s fabulous and knows it ❤

I had cats as I was growing up and I had hayfever along with allergy to cats. They didn't have many meds for that back then. So I had sneezing fits and my eyes would swell shut during Aug-Sep, but it didn't matter how bad I got I wouldn't leave my cat, I loved animals too much. When I got older I got a dog too and lived in the country where the hay fever weeds were very abundant. What happened was the more I was around stuff I was allergic to the less it affected me. Now at 72 I am surrounded by animals and hayfever weeds and have less reactions to anything. I am so glad you kept your best bud and are getting relief for your allergies, you look fairly young and perhaps the more immersed by your triggers maybe you can have less problems in the future.
