Have you played the Separate Ways DLC? A lot of the cut content from the original that wasn’t in the remake base game was reworked for Ada’s campaign. RE4 Remake + Separate Ways is pretty much the complete package. If you haven’t played separate ways yet, do yourself a favor and play it right now lol.
Also with RE4 Remake, I like that for everything they cut they replaced it with something else. For instance: in the OG game there’s a turret section in the castle where the red zealot mans a turret in a painting gallery that’s not in the remake. however, this section was practically replaced with the “gloria a las plazas” section in the castle where the red zealot triggers the parasites in the other zealots. Also it’s in a painting storage room. Theres actually more content in the Remake compared to the original, despite the stuff they cut out. In RE4 OG, with infinite rocket launcher I can regularly beat that game in sub 3 hours. Usually around 2:45–2:55 mark. In the Remake, with infinite rocket launcher and all the post game new game plus goodies, the fastest I’ve beaten the game is 4 and half hours.
UI was fine to me. Same with the character models. To each their own I guess.
REally like your edit and the categories too. Great Job! I also love the game, I 've played it both in console and pc to see which gave the better experience and pc ends up being the easiest for me. PS5 made me work for that ending. For those who know the original may say it has change some character traits and dialogs. Not the end of the world but we know how it should be. R4 and RE4 both make for some damn good gaming example of how games should be done.
overall i'd say compared to the original the remake is kind of lame. it's….fine just not necessary and it kind of shows, it's alright but forgettable a true 5/10 experience not memorably good like the original but not so bad that you remember how bad it is. very much a one and done experience which is great if you like it and if you dont well the og is there waiting to be replayed
